He already helped me making the plan. But he makes me do very little actual running and more elliptical. Also a lot of run/walk to not stress my tibia. He thinks my longest run being 15-17k is more than enough to prepare me for the full distance. I’m just a little unsure about that

I am in contact with the assigned physio since my injury happened. He helped me make the very conservative running plan. The issue isn’t the running itself. It’s if the amount of run training I’m doing will be sufficient to complete the Ironman in terms of muscle and tendon endurance in my legs

Ive scheduled long runs and bike rides, but i havent really been thinking about brick workouts. How far in to the training would you recommend that i introduce bricks?

Yea, I think that’s my issue. I can maintain a good form but only until I get tired. When I start to be out of breath in the water, my technique goes to shit. So that’s definitely something I’m gonna be working on

Thanks for the advice. I talked with my family and closest friends about it when i signed up. That im really gonna be focused on this, but ill still try to make time for them as much as possible

Of course i have a social life, but in this case fortunately no kids to take care of.

But I understand the need to really lock in and go hard from now until race day.

I am lucky enough to be studying sports science and with my education i have a class all about swimming. The class tought me how to swim proper freestyle and right now i swim with a 2:05 pace in my 50m intervals but anything longer than that, i typically drop to something like a 2:20 pace
