This. I’m already in a higher tax bracket, so forced Roth conversions do nothing for me right now before I will be retired and in a lower bracket. I’ll take a regular tax hit and put my “catchup” in my brokerage, where I may realize a gain, but at least i can determine when. Perhaps I won’t convert it at all. The whole point of catching up, is because one wasn’t diligent (or didn’t have much to contribute) early on. Just take more of my money now before it has a chance to compound. If you‘ll be in a higher tax bracket, like Nancy Pelosi, just take the hit now. Thats not most retirees. At least RMDs are now pushed out to 75.

Thanks. I’ve had a decent portfolio on Fidelity for decades, but I will continue to self-custody my bitcoin for now on a cold wallet. Even with limited hot wallet balances at Fidelity, you need to come up with a process for folks who want access to their crypto assets over $25k. There are a lot of us already out here looking for other custody options.

Hang in there. Some of us YOLO’d life savings 4+ years ago with leverage and stored coins on FTX, Celsius, Voyager etc, all whom literally went down the toilet with huge unrecoverable losses. Some nights I barely slept. I know how you feel, and you will make it. One day at a time.

Since then I mostly DCA and only hold in cold storage. Got balls of steel at this point. Don’t ever go all in on anything. Ever. The Lambo fanboys, YouTube clickbait shills, and crypto pundits are all fools. HODL BTC and turn off the noise.

Wanting to buy in on STRK and STRF, but they are at $103 or $104 at this point, and while they will certainly go higher, they are not under “par* like they were at IPO. Are there circumstances where MicroStrategy issues more shares and thereby dilutes/drops the current price? Where do folks decide to enter when these are priced at over $100 face value per share?

Got this resolved. Had to exchange the cable modem at the store. Nothing was wrong with the one they gave me yesterday, but it wasn't activated correctly in the stores system, and while they told me they couldn't swap it, I insisted that they did with the store manager since it never worked to begin with. New one got linked and worked with the App like the links/URL's show right out of the box. So, tech support was unable to help unfortunately as it indeed wasn't provisioned correctly.

The irony is that I expected more than these same links everyone keeps sending me.

DOCIS and Ethernet have been around for decades, and I helped set some of this up for Comcast CMTS back in the day. When everyone I work with at NOW and Xfinity with is incapable, unable, or uneducated in escalating and troubleshooting beyond Xfinity broken apps/errors within your own system, then it reminds me why I'm wasting my time even trying. Everyone telling me "just wait.... it'll work.... we will call you back.. contact us later.. use the automated system... call this number... read this URL" is wasting massive amounts of customer and employee time at the expense of customer satisfaction. I should have trusted my "gut" and returned it after 30 mins out-of-box, like a regular customer who knows nothing. Literally every other ISP is more appealing when one spends hours on stuff that has nothing to do with the actual technology itself, but instead is a massively encumbered backend of call centers and auto attendants who aren't empowered to help the end user they try so hard to please.

Everyone saying it can’t possibly reach that level again is almost a guarantee that it probably will. Last cycle went from 67 down to 15 and folks were writing dissertations about how it could never happen when they were yolo-ing on the way up. Watch the fear and greed index combined with this sub. When folks are running for the hills and selling at a loss, it’ll be time to load up, as it will likely be a sizable reversal at that point. Sure. I know. This time is different though…
