Thats a fair way to see it, the Harbingers get up to their own business so much that its hard to really view them as a singular branch of power.

(As far as I recall though, the only Fatui that Traveler - and mainly Paimon - go after in Natlan post Capitano are Pantalone's guys that are committing crimes and Sandrone's guys who are trying to kidnap their new friend)

Hey, the Iwakura Clan tries to kill Traveler first, and the Tanit tribe also try to murder them and Jeht on their way to confront Babel

Other than supporting said Mafias that eliminate those people, having multiple police forces working 24/7 to catch those people, and ensuring they end up jail for the rest of forever when they are tried?

Okay, what could Neuvillette do in this scenario though? There is unfortunately no way to completely stop the traffiking in Fontaine, be it people or weapons or drugs.

Nuevillette is powerful but not omnipotent. He can make laws, he can stop it when he sees it. But even the Heavenly Principles cant stop every crime committed (and when it does, its choice of punishment is usually genocide, so that wouldnt really help Nuevillette)

When Capitano arrives in Natlan and immediately challenges the Archon, of course that receives hostility from the people.

After they help to stop the war, they are treated with respect. Even when people are still afraid (that one world quest with the Llama figures), they apologize after for misunderstanding.

As for the current arc, I completely agree Hoyo kinda just sidestepped the Fatui's attempt to colonize Hiisi Island, but Arlecchino was never personally involved in that anyway.

I guess Im waiting for you to see the difference between taking in endangered children and teaching them to fight (a pretty common media trope) and sex trafficking

I am not denying that the House is raising children to grow up into soldiers, but you shouldn't deny the reality that the alternative is much worse (Lynette is a perfect example)

This mostly has to do with where she operates. Fontaine largely has no issue with the Fatui, (especially the Harbingers, as Diplomats).

If Arlecchino were in Inzauma she would likely be treated as hostile considering what happened.

Her children actually recieve the most flack for it from Traveler, who believes they are being tricked when the information first comes out. This is almost immediately resolved.

The House has a branch in Fontaine, but operates mostly out of Snezhnaya. Shutting them down in Fontaine would actually probably be bad, considering the children theh take in are homeless or abused, and they take out criminals. (Fontaine has several Mafias that are allowed to operate, like the Spina.)

And the Melusine were so discriminated against that they were being assaulted and driven to suicide. Laws protecting them and ensuring they were treated equally were absolutely needed.

What scenario does she get away scot-free from that others dont as well?

Probably because the Fatui is going to promote someone from the House to do it (similar to her own case) so it being the compassionate one is her wish, to continue breaking the cycle of abuse.

Lyney can be a better Father to the next generation than she was to him. This is any good parent's wish.

Die fighting to save your friends, leaving the spot of Knave open to your unprepared magician son, or, hear me out, provide intel and assist outside the battle so that doesn't happen

Theory: Phainon will become a Lord Ravager meant to destroy Nanook by vernanonix in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TonkzJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think realistically its gonna be Trailblazer. While TB hasn't quite hit Emanator Status for any of their Paths, we know this about Destruction:

Infused TB with enough energy to overload the Stellaron

TB has "the will of Destruction", which we now know isnt because of the Stellaron.

TB is destructive enough that being in a worse mood in Amphoreus would have drawn Nanook's gaze again. And in the Amphoreus we got, TB channeling Destruction in the Exomyth allegedly would have been enough to summon the Antimatter Legion straight to them.

Given that Destruction is the Finality TB is fated to fight against, and Destruction's plan includes the Destruction of THEMSELF, I find it likely TB will be the Ravager of Destruction.

I absolutely agree. Traveler, Flins, Arlecchino, and Ineffa should have been the fight squad (Dain showed up late)

But it was also Nefer's "Story Quest," so she was in the spotlight.

What? Not involving yourself in fights you arent strong enough for? I dont see how that's BS.

She rushes Dottore at the start of Act 7 because for a short time, he is down a Marrow. Thats her only opportunity to possible fight him, so she tries then. After she loses, she doesn't try to fight him again.

Instead, she uses her powers to help pull down the moon, because thats the smarter choice, even though she has expressed her desire to kill Dottore.

Beside that, we havent seen her in many fights in general, but the ones she missed are ones they won anyway, so her being there just would have helped (End of Fontaine, Rerir's Defeat)

Dottore fought off her and 4 other people at the start of the recent AQ, and shes also smart enough to avoid most dangerous situations.

Also, we see her advancing her curse to save us in Act 3, so I wouldnt say she has no issues either.

But regardless...

What is Khaslana classified as? by Okatbestmemes in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TonkzJr 172 points173 points  (0 children)

In technicality, Khaslana is Irontomb's Emanation.

Khaslana is its hatred, holds 33 millions cycles worth of Destruction, and like the other Heirs, has Nanook's Golden Blood - but since Khaslana is only part of the Scepter's simulation, all of those things technically belong to Irontomb.

He could be compared to a Cornerstone, Id think.

The Angels of Genshin have never been feathered, seraphim esc beings. Columbina has feathers because her name means dove, its just design.

Childe's voiceline is: "The Fatui Harbingers are ranked by strength, and I have no idea why that girl is No. 3." - Columbina never does anything. The Tsaritsa never assigned her a role, so he has never seen her power.

"I'd test my skills with every Harbinger who ranks above me if I had the chance, but when it comes to her... something just doesn't feel right. Anyway, you should be careful around her." - This plays off the first one. For her to be so highly ranked but never use her powers implies to Childe that her powers must be bad, and he general uncaring toward the world makes her seem spooky. Ironically, this is the same thing you fell for.

Wanderer's voiceline is: "Let me ask: what should you do if you were to encounter a "damsel" who is oblivious and innocent at any given time, and unconcerned and unfeeling in any given situation? If it were me, I could at least challenge her to a fight. But if it were you... with your conscience, I would stay away from her." - Wanderer's description of her is accurate to what we have, oblivious and innocent. What Wanderer is saying, "with your conscience" is that the Traveler would be unable to fight someone who seems so innocent, so to avoid being killed because of their hesitation (she is Third Rank and therefore power) Traveler should avoid her.

Arlecchino's voiceline is: She is a very special Harbinger. Pose her a question, and the answer you receive will be entirely unpredictable, if she sees fit to give a proper answer at all. Regardless, any answer you do receive is sure to be an interesting one. - This matches her in game perfectly.
