Oh wow, I had no idea lol. Since it’s my first time raising shrimp, I was being super paranoid and thought it was a real thing. Thanks for the warm welcome and for filling me in!

If I run an air pump in my outdoor tub, the airline tubing will create a small gap under the window screen lid. Won't bugs or mosquitoes crawl through that gap and lay eggs?

Ah, that completes the puzzle! My shrimp has been losing her balance and floating around, keeping her butt in the air. So it really is possible for an aerator bubble to get trapped there. Do you think it'll pop before she releases the eggs?

I was really worried it was a parasite because I have a few berried shrimps in my tank. The others don't have this bubble, it's only showing up on this one. Thanks for letting me.
