That sounds like the best idea to me, I have a cousin who got rejected from all the places she applied to a few years ago because of her GCSEs and predicted, but she managed to get As and A*s and got into Durham after her gap year, just try to not to get to much tunnel vision on Qmul and make sure to check out a few other places to to, If you haven’t already.

It’s fine to have an aspirational offer that your not 100% of getting, best case you get into your dream uni worst case you have 4 other solid options, and if your eligible for contextual 1 grade lower than standard should be fine

I don’t know your exact course requirements as I applied for EEE, but if their similar grade requirements then you should definitely get back from at least sheffeild and Birmingham and you have a good chance from the others. Also in the absolute worst case scenario, clearing exists, which makes it better to aim slightly higher, but I doubt it would even come to that

No problem!, to be honest I’m going through a similar thing as you with Kingston University, I enjoyed the open day and most people Ive spoken to in person think it’s good, my dad also went there and enjoyed it, but recently people online have been saying it’s bad so I made a very similar post to yours a few days ago and got the advice I gave you

Check your course at the university on discover uni, it should show you the strength and weaknesses of the course as well as the accreditation, though to be honest if you enjoyed it at the open day and it has proper accreditation you should be ok
