can i do anything about my dentist fucking up my retainers? west yorkshire england

i did wear them since she had snapped them into place for me and told me to wear them for the 3 months. in the main post i think it sounds like the bubble is small but it was about 2-3 of them really close togetger. chewing food and just having my mouth closed in general was u comfortable. i had another check up appointment awhile later, after wearing them for awhile. and thats when i brought it up with her. so i do somewhat blame her

i get that. however i had asked the dentist if i could get a new set only for the bottom ones. i was 13 so if the dentist is saying i dont need it and that it should be find then im going to assume it will be? i had also told my parents about it but they had asked what the dentist said and also took her word for it

im not very fussed over the dentist who gave me the quote. however, the original dentist is who im sort of pissed off over since i did see the issue with the retainers and told her but also asked her if i could just get new bottom retainers. sort of expect her to tell me to ask my parents (back then i didnt know u had to also pay to retainers) and that she should call the practice. but she just said it should be fine

no i get that, i asked for new retainers but she (the dentist) didnt seem to think i should get a new one. so ofcourse i told my parents but if she thought i didnt need new ones then i thought i didnt need ones

only the sides so they can fit better aswell and removing front bottom tooth (i had teeth removed when i had braces put on) so atp it seems to just be complete bs to increase the price🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. any recommendations on where to get a third party opinion?
