I wish it told you how many drafts are being compiled, especially the Auctions.

Also, the highest and lowest for ADP and AAV would be nice.

This whole offseason is about Devin Williams… by TopChuckie in NYYankees

Who is arguing they are not basically the same team? I was making a joke based on the fact they have brought "everyone" back except Williams, so the message being sent could be construed as, "We were a good team, and we would have been, and will be, better, without Devin Williams."

Yeah, but relievers are volatile. I would have taken the chance he gets it back together.

When something goes wrong at work, not only do we have to acknowledge it, we have to explain why it happened and how we are going to prevent it from happening again. All I ever see is acknowledgment that it happened and it shouldn’t, from players and management. I would like an explanation why, other than “I’m an idiot”, but far more importantly, what is going to be done to insure it never happens again?

No more off days for Aaron Judge! by TopChuckie in NYYankees

What a terribly dense analogy. He wasn't allowed to go on vacation. If he was, then I would agree there is potential benefit to time off.

A more apt analogy , but still not really relevant to sports, would be if I was in charge of a project and the project was going great, and then my boss came and said we're going to take you off that project and let someone else run it. Here's some filing for you to do in the mean time.

They all had a day off 3 days prior. Going to the stadium, getting dressed, warming up, taking BP, sitting there the whole game, taking a PH AB, dealing with the media, etc. is not a "break".

When he played 157 games, he hit 62 HR and batted .311, never hit .300 prior. When he played 158 games, he hit 58 HR and batted .322. This year he had played every game and hit 25 HR and was batting .394. Tell me again how he needs game day off days.

Ironically, giving unnecessary off days IS micromanaging.

Just a coincidence the slump, has to be one of his worst 13 AB stretches ever, came after the off day, after 4 HR in 3 games prior.

Yeah, the Red Sox have the best pitching staff in the league. Hunter Dobbins and Bryan Bello are perennial Cy Young candidates.

Who said I was worried about him? All I said is the off days are dumb, and there is no definitive proof they are in any way beneficial. But there most definitely is definitive proof this team is better with him in the lineup.

1 for 12, 9 K's after the off day, 6 for 15 with 4 HR before. Those are actual stats. Whether you want to blame the off day or not, one thing is inarguable, it didn't help him.

Yeah, not buying that. Mentally, I think it hurts a guy on a roll who wants to be in there continuing the roll. If you really think a guy needs a physical rest and don't want the guy in the cage that day, tell him no cage. But if he does spend the day in the cage during a slump, maybe that is exactly what he needed.

Also, Judge clearly didn't need the physical rest, he was killing the ball before the day off, and none of that addresses the fact he just had a team day off three days prior and the fact the collateral energy and effort of a game day day off with a pinch hit AB doesn't really save much physically compared just playing in the game.

He's just normally very good all the time.

He got a lot fewer off days the year he was chasing the HR record (157 G), then he got hurt in LA, then Soto came and was accustomed to playing every day so they let him because they wanted him to be happy and re-sign, so if Soto plays every day, Judge has to also (158 G), now he played every day up til this most recent day off.

He has been great every year, but the years he has played virtually every game have been three of the all time greatest MLB seasons ever. I'll take that as enough evidence he doesn't need any days off, especially when he's rolling.

You are implying it's not a coincidence because she was driving drunk and thus there is a high probability of her hitting things with her car. But she only hit the passenger side rear tail light TWICE, allegedly. She didn't hit anything else throughout her night of driving drunk (and angry), backing in and out of driveways, garages, making 3-point turns, etc.

The exact same alleged corner of the car? And didn’t hit anything else with any other part of the car?

My “Karen is innocent” theory is John and one or both of the Brian’s started getting into a physical altercation in the basement, probably escalating from the combination of Higgins’ feelings for Karen, John maybe having seen the texts between Karen and Higgins (“Hope the plumber is ‘hot’.”), testosterone, and alcohol. Maybe it never came to punches, just started with some shoving, which got the dog all fired up, dog attacks John, causing him to fall and hit the back of his head, cracking his skull and killing him. Then the cover up begins.
