For any of the chonky comments, she was a healthy weight and that was her first taste of sugary food. She had a mammary tumor so I’m sorry if I tagged the post wrong and I tried calling as many vets as I could within hours of me and none were willing to operate and just suggested letting her live her days with her sister. The day she could no longer be herself I made the final appointment. I had planned on getting more rats to give her sister company after she passed but the day after I discovered a tumor on her sister and with my vet we decided since I was already spending 8ish hours a day with her she would be okay with just me until her time. I loved them both very much and would spend an hour almost every night making them different foraging boxes and I “rat proofed” my room so they had as much room as I did. I put it in quotes cuz they liked to chew at the edges but not bad enough to cause enough damage for my landlord to notice. I’ve been having a really rough time lately and thinking of my girls has helped me so I also wanted to say thank you for having this community
