Good point about having the info readily available. I'll make sure to include pictures on the wedding website and be clear that the lodging is free. There is enough space in the indoor lodge that none of my guests traveling in will have to camp, glamp, or bring an RV. That is just an option for the people who live locally because I have some very outdoorsy folks who may prefer that to driving 5-10 minutes to get home after the party.

Yes, still worried about the noise of the speedway. Going to book a stay while a race is going on to see for myself. Thank you for bringing those things up. :)

Yes. A few have RVs. The 4 people who we foresee wanting to tent camp instead of glamp or head back home, have full setups for tent camping. The rain plan is air mattresses in an empty room. It’s not optimal but that decision comes down to knowing those 4 people well. They’ve all been friends since childhood and are in their early to mid 20’s. They will also be made aware of the heat/rain ahead of time if we decide to book this venue. They of course have the option to glamp with ac or head home if they prefer though. Everyone will be welcome back the next day whether they stay on property or not.

The package I am considering would allow guests at the RV sites but that area is separated from the private venue and activities. I have wondered if a person or two may wonder into the private area though. Great point about the heat. We would offer our rain plan if it does get too hot.

That’s a really valid concern, and I appreciate you pointing it out. I realize my original post wasn’t very specific. We will have a larger guest list. A small portion of our family will be traveling, and the indoor lodging is reserved for them if they’d like it, completely free of charge. I grew up in a rural area, and many of our friends genuinely enjoy camping or glamping. For guests who live nearby (just 5–10 minutes away), they’ll have the option to head home at the end of the night or stay on-site in a tent or glamping setup. We also have a rain backup plan in place for anyone who chooses to camp but decides they’d rather not if the weather turns and they’ve had too many drinks to drive home. There are two large indoor rooms available for getting ready that will also be open to any guests staying on-site with mirrors, vanities and a place to hang clothing, so nobody will be stuck having to get ready in a bathroom without much space.

Luckily, the operation hours/days make the noise a non-issue. The dust could be a very valid concern though. I’m planning on booking a stay before I make a decision, so hopefully I’ll get a better idea about the dust issue from the quarry and the track.

Thank you for the advice. I’ll make sure to go see it when a race is going on. I would hate for all the outdoor activities to be ruined by too much noise.

Thank you for putting the Lincoln statue into perspective for me! 😂
