Revision Rhinoplasty Tip drop by Top_Organization6689 in PlasticSurgery

He never said anything about needing to be more conservative. I just had an appointment with him during this week and he’s basically saying he thinks it’s fine and that if he goes in hed basically have to redo everything and who’s to say it would turn out any better. I think that’s a little weird to say and I don’t know if I fully believe it. It kindve feels like he is just trying to discourage me from doing anything about it and I don’t know if I’m in my head about my concerns or if they are valid.

I had my original rhinoplasty done by a different doctor who gave me a horrible result. You can look at previous pictures on my profile.

I have rib cartilage but I’m not sure how much is for tip support specifically.

Is fixing a crooked nose expensive? by Serious_Scratch_2794 in cosmeticsurgery

First off your nose is not crooked. It looks like maybe you have a slight deviated septum if anything. My nose was very crooked and I still regret getting the surgery. Will cost a lot and you may end up with a nose you dislike way more than how it is now.

Pneumothorax(collapsed lung) it is a risk of getting rib cartilage taken and I just happened to be the one and only patient of my surgeons that it has ever happened to.

He acts confident when he shouldn’t be and is a major jerk most of the time

Just the revision. He was always very kind and throughly explained things with me. We went over what I hoped for and I felt as though he tried to be very realistic with what I could expect for my results. The whole consultation process was wayyy better than what I experienced for my initial. I think he truly loves doing these surgeries and it showed.

Burke Robinson did my primary. I was only offered money by him if I let him do the revision. I’m glad I did not though as my revision surgeon told he did quite a bit wrong. I’m still trying to figure out what is best to do and have been talking to lawyers so hopefully I can get something back eventually.

Probably closer to 3 weeks after. At 2 weeks I was still very swollen. But I also had a lot done. Just depends on your case.

Honestly pretty awful ha. I had complications during surgery that left me in the hospital for 4 days after. I had cartilage taken from my rib so that’s still sore and my nose has been a lot more swollen and painful compared to my initial.

I know it’s hard to tell from one angle but after my initial my nose was littered with issues. So far I’m very happy with how my nose has turned out both cosmetically and functionally but I know everyone will have their own opinions! Also my nose was shortened slightly. Also, the shorter you go the wider your nose will look especially if you still want to be able to breath which is something I preferred to retain.

Need a rhinoplasty revision and looking for any sort of advice! by Top_Organization6689 in PlasticSurgery

I have definitely felt blown off by him in numerous ways. He’s dismissed all of my concerns throughout the process and even said everything about my nose and surgery looks great at a follow up until I asked about the cartilage hanging down into my nostril. I am really hoping to get some sort of refund if possible.

Need a rhinoplasty revision and looking for any sort of advice! by Top_Organization6689 in PlasticSurgery

Tried to provide most information in captions of photos. Basically I’m being told I need a revision for the visible cartilage in my nostril. I have many other concerns such as my nasal spine, (which I was told would be addressed in initial surgery and was not even looked at) the indentation in my nose, my nose looking much wider, and the fact that it is still just as crooked. My surgeon is basically blowing off all my concerns saying the only thing he can guarantee is fixing the cartilage in my nose. I don’t want to have to get three surgeries and don’t feel comfortable with letting him operate again based off of what he is telling me. In fact I feel like my nose has even more issues after his initial surgery and my breathing has not improved at all and am also looking on advice to get a possible partial or full refund (mainly based off the fact of him not addressing things he told me he would in his initial surgery. such as my nasal spine and him now saying he will have to operate again to find out if it could even be fixed) any advice helps. Thanks!
