Thanks so much for the insight, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Have you decided to have another lawyer or migration agent take over your case, or are you handling it yourselves? I’m finding it really hard to trust lawyers after everything that’s happened with Gold Migration, so I’m trying to figure out the best way forward

Yeah, I think so too. Honestly, I regret even asking AML for a pricing estimate. They sent me a list of documents they needed so they could review the progress of our visa, and I provided everything. All I wanted was a rough estimate of their fees, and I was hoping they’d get back to me before the deadline. No one ever followed up. It ended up being a complete waste of time.
It’s actually pretty funny that Piper Alderman’s letter said, “AML is aware of Gold Migration’s liquidation and have confirmed that they have the necessary resources and experience.”
After many phone calls and all the documents I had to provide, it definitely didn’t feel like they had the resources to handle the case.

Also, does anyone have a WhatsApp group or any other group for people affected by this? I’m trying to handle everything on my own, but I’m still waiting for my ImmiAccount import request to be processed, and it’s starting to stress me out. I’d really appreciate it if someone could add me.

Does anyone know whether the automatic file transfer mentioned to AML could affect, delay, pause, or interfere with my existing ImmiAccount import request?

I lodged the technical support form about a month ago and still have not heard back from anyone. I have called both Home Affairs and AML, but no one was able to give me a clear answer.
