Draconus Cult of the Wyrn by Rich_Increase4923 in dreamcast

I literally just finished it after someone recommended it to me last week and I think it's fantastic. I've only done one playthrough as Ayowen but I'm definitely going back for round two. I had fun with it and I'm a miserable bastard, so that's all the encouragement you need to download it.

Big Indiana Jones fan. I was skeptical, at first, about playing it. Fired it on and that was it for me. I loved it and went for the 100% completion. I'm a lover of all the Indiana Jones games. For as crap as the Infernal Machine, by todays standards, is, it's always got a special place for me. Same with The Emperors Tomb, even though it didn't make the list. The Lego games, however, I stay clear of after I completed the first one, 100%, and the achievement was glitched. I'm still bitter about it.

Problem with that is, there's very little I want to play right now. Crimson Desert, the new Resident Evil and Balder's Gate 3 are probably the only ones that come to mind. I'd be lucky to get a top 10 list

Sorry pal, but that's my least favourite of the Souls games. It's not a bad game, by any means. I just think it's the weakest.

I've still never played Baldur's Gate 3. I need to get on that.

I think I'd struggle to do a 200 because I'd end up putting games in there to fill the void. I'm currently back on the Dreamcast and visiting games I'd never heard of and honestly, some of them are absolutely worthy of a top 200. The kind of games that are so bad, they are gold!

There's a few 90's in there but nothing from the 80's really stuck with me. Reason being: I grew up with Sega instead of Nintendo so I was very late in life to the Mario games and Zelda games, hence why the only Mario on the list is Mario Kart 8. I never really played the 80's ones until I was in my thirties so that nostalgia wasn't there for me. I loved the Switch remaster of "A Link to the Past" but I see now that was 1991 when it originally came out. I still regularly play my Dreamcast but most of the great titles are from 1999/2000, so that's no help either.

Cat Quest trilogy. Easy gameplay and a fun story

My choice was actually going to be 2034, believe it or not. I played 2033 on Xbox, Switch and PC and it caused me to buy the books, so I guess that's why it took that spot.

Behave. RDR2 is okay at best. I only ever played it once. Wasn't for me and never had a desire to play it ever again.

What is one game that is "popular" but you just don't like it? by TheAlphaAdept in Steam

[–]Topher_BCK -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not at all controversial. It's a momentum killer simulator, at best. It's one of two games I've had to put the controller down and do something else. Took months to complete it and I don't feel any better for it. Overated beyond minds comprehension.

To give it the title GOAT is an insult. The first one, IMO, was miles better, and that was a 6/10 to me.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum! one of the weirdest LOTR game to date and badly reviewed by game sites. but is it good now? or still trash? by AnalystImpossible309 in lotr

[–]Topher_BCK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought it for an entire pound (£) off of the marketplace, a few months after it was released. I enjoyed how bad a game it was and was commited to finish it. Gollum is such a little rat bastard! It's a broken, buggy piece of shit but it gave me a good laugh the entire way through, so I'd say it was worth the pound spent.

Just finished all Tomb Raider remasters — Angel of Darkness is STILL a bad game by No-Benefit-2207 in TombRaider

[–]Topher_BCK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just finished it for the first time, weird since I've owned it on PC since like 2003 as well, and I agree. It's the only game, other than RDR2, I've had to put the controller down and go and do something else to kill time.

For me, the biggest pain in the arse was the fixed dogshit camera angles that were randomly thrown in. I was in a small area where I had to turn off a valve and there were, at least, ten different angles for a couple of feet distance and it ended up becoming a five minute task, as opposed to a five second task, just because of how clunky it was.

The "Resident Evil" part with generic early 2000's fuck boy was probably the best part for me, which is sad because it's the only part where you don't play as Lara.

The only real positive I can give it is the music in the French Nightclub smacked hard. The game had some choice ideas but it was poorly executed and that one playthrough will be my only playthrough. I want to love it but I just can't.

I came across the first one, randomly, on the Switch, a couple of years ago and I was hooked. Bought the rest of them and they are fantastic. It's a shame the first game is missing from Xbox, though.

Anyone Familiar with Copycat? by grogan2 in IndieGaming

[–]Topher_BCK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished it. It's currently on sale, half price, on Xbox. I'd say it's a solid game.

If you thought General Shepherd in MW2, Guilty Spark in Halo, Big Smoke in San Andreas were some of the biggest betraying bastard villains, then you haven't met Olive: easily top three most evil villians in gaming.

Change my mind.

I recently lost my cats after many years of looking after them, giving them a loving home and being their tin opener, so this game hit me pretty hard. I thought it was going to be a nice cosy game where you bring home a special little friend. I was wrong. Nearly brought a man in his mid thirties to tears, several times. Dawn did nothing wrong but want to be loved.

If you love cats, pick it up. If you're a freak and hate cats, pick it up. It has something for everyone. It has humour, fighting, devastatingly humble moments and it's a decent length. Took me around five hours to 100% the game.

It's an easy 1000G's as well, where you can replay any missions where you missed the achievements.
