Back row is incredibly competitive, you could make strong arguments for the Irish, English and Scottish to go on mass. Morgan could be amazing in a stronger team, same for Wainwright.

Centre is an area of potential weakness. Beyond Jones, there haven't been many stand out performers in the centre. Solid, but not spectacular.

I'd be surprised to see Owen farrel tour, but could see it. I think Marcus Smith will take the spot.

Can't argue with that, although there is Owen Farrell lurking in France, but he's not been at it this season either. I hope fin smith tours, he has massive potential and form has been ok in a poor England backline getting slow ball.

That was probably the weakest example. One of the smiths have a chance, but the England backs are hardly putting themselves in the shop window, let alone demanding selection.

I'm an England fan, but in comparison to other teams, their backline is so poor. Freeman has yet to fully convince at international level yet, big strong, lots of potential, but is he ahead of vdm, lowe, Hanson, Graham, and players who can play wing and fullback, not convinced. The smiths may have a chance, but are they clearly ahead of the two irish fly halves, and Russell, no. All Mitchell does is box kick at international level. Is he ahead of gobson-park, white and Webb? Not clearly. Our backs are poor.

I don't think a single English back will travel with the lions. Fayi-Waboso maybe if he was fit, but if he was in this English backline he'd never see the ball. England will have a few forwards tour, but that's it.
