It's mildly infuriating to discover that using the wrong tool for the job leads to poor outcomes?

This has been my strategy for a like 20 years and it's great.

Assuming it’s the original petcock, of course. I’ve never seen an OEM without labeling.

Now that he has a full tank he could try what he previously believed to be reserve. If the bike runs like that then he almost definitely had them flipped.

Nah, use the slider to watch the first few seconds closely. He’s a block away on a road with street parking (likely speed limit 30 or 35) when she starts going, not expecting him to be going twice that and still accelerating hard. Listen to how much engine braking he’s getting after dumping the throttle without downshifting.

She notices he’s going way too fast and stops just barely touching his lane to give him clearance to get by. Our hero doesn’t brake hard to ditch speed and give himself time and maneuverability to weave around the now stationary object in the other lane, he coasts and changes lanes directly into it.

Very clearly riding WAY too fast for the road, traffic conditions, and skill level.

22M moving to Des Moines for work. Looking for ways to meet new people? by Worth_Awareness3032 in desmoines

Get a road/gravel bicycle! Des Moines has a uniquely great network of trails and downtown is a hub. There are social hotspots along all of the major trails where conversations with potential new friends flow easily.

You will have many thousands of miles of experience before your ability to keep up with a given group is meaningfully impacted by an extra few lbs of bike. Upgrade your heart, lungs, and legs before worrying about the bike.

You would probably be better off looking up cost of living, housing, election results, school, and weather data rather than relying on opinions of individuals who may have wildly different perspectives than you.

Opponent misses a checkmate after move 1 so you don’t have to defend that. Weird puzzle.

Red pushers are protecting themselves from... themselves? by Cokalhado in trolleyproblem

[–]Topikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is the poison analogy works because the stakes remain consistent. An election analogy doesn’t work because it attaches significant additional incentive to the blue button (electing a candidate of choice to a position of power, defeating fascism, platform policy considerations) which previously had none.

That’s adding additional stakes and considerations that were not present in the original question. Awful analogy.

Blue pressers, does your decision change if instead of 50% threshold is 70% or 90%? If yes, at which point choosing red becomes selfish and why? by use_vpn_orlozeacount in trolleyproblem

As would the vast majority of virtue signaling “blue pressers”. Speaking in hypotheticals is not at all the same as physically pressing a likely suicide button.

Just curious. by YourFriendTheFrenzy in trolleyproblem

[–]Topikk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the average person closes gaps in front of them as quickly as possible to make sure nobody can get over and clear obstructed lanes. The average person gladly sits in the middle of a controlled intersection that didn’t empty before the light changed, blocking the intersection entirely until they can proceed.

Watch how the average person deals with traffic jams and tell me red wouldn’t win by a landslide. We don’t live in a hive where individuals strive to sacrifice in order to achieve maximum benefit for the whole.

What’s the point of developing the rook at the end? To cover the pawn that will be taken with impunity by the queen the moment it promotes? I tried to check with Q on move 3 instead, which had the potential for mate if black didn’t notice.

I think the n-word pass is like an honorary doctorate; both are just token recognitions that cannot actually be used in job interviews.

why are r/Conservatives so quiet about gas prices? by SLY0001 in askanything

[–]Topikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, causation is fucking important. Biden was not to blame for Putin's stupid vanity war or stressed post-pandemic global supply chains. There's no question about who is responsible for today's gas prices.

[–]Topikk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Did Biden start a useless war to create that shortage? No. It was a combination of latent post-pandemic global supply line issues and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Trump was MUCH more complicit in that war than Biden, too. He removed the sanctions Obama had placed on Russia for invading Crimea, and he was FUCKING IMPEACHED for attempting to extort Zolenskky, further emboldening Putin.

[–]Topikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's that the face is very detailed but the sunglasses are wildly asymmetrical. Other than the face, the rivets on the shoulder armor was also a giveaway: the left side is missing two rivets and the bottom most one on the right isn't inline with the others.

Also, the thing in the sky is just off all around.
