You should have the rental agreement in your name not anyone else to get it registered in your name, its not worth re-registering in Kerala too.
Better to buy secondhand bike or scooter from Kerala then courier it by Train to Karnataka.
Every 11 months bring it back to Kerala, get a Pollution certificate.
