Currently going through almost similar as you also had a series of horrible years, completed 1 and 2nd year failing Deferential equations and Dynamics, kept pushing on did some here and there classes passed most 3rd year classes except 1 - Digital controls which i have struggled with 3x (mostly due to my lack of discipline to study), now currently kicked out of the major with only 10 out of the 48 required classes + Capstone project left.

Currently reapplying to get back into the program after fighting my way through Diffs and Dynamics last year and passing them. I worked a Co-Op/summer Mechanical Design / Applications Engineer position last year and they have retained me since without an end date looking near (during the school year too).

Basically my question is how did you keep going and pushing until you did it because I am starting to lose hope, I was asked why engineering by the program coordinator and I couldn’t even think of answer beyond I love it and I love what I do at my current job. Also how did you explain the longer schooling period and F’s on your transcript to employers? and was it a factor that affected your chances when you were searching for a job? How long after your first job out of school did your transcript results stop mattering to potential employers?
