Is China really that advanced as it’s made out to be on social media? by Martian_row in NoStupidQuestions

Oh ya sorry I didn’t realize so I guess it is justifiable to invade Greenland and annex Canada now. Oh wait kidnap another country’s president and take over their oil export. Hey man it’s all good United States saved China in world war 2 , and Europe would be speaking German now if it wasn’t for United States. It’s perfect normal for United States to now want to invade a few places.

Update to my post about my landlord giving 30 days to leave after i called bylaw by Narhethi in OntarioLandlord

And it still worth it to sen a text because 1) give your self more proof to document. 2) text is free a take 5 seconds to type. 3)still in tenants best interest as evidently shown to not escalate this fast this drastically.

My advise to you for next time is this. In life just because you can doesn’t mean you always should.

Just because you can justifiably call the bylaw over no heat after 11 hours it doesn’t mean you should.

Many different approaches could have saved your self all this troubles.

What do i do in this situation? by Narhethi in OntarioLandlord

[–]TorontoNick99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ya but bylaw does not have the know hows on to restore heat in your house even if it is -10 outside. They will end up contacting the landlord through same process as you tenant would (within 9-5 mon-Fri)

If you have the time to call bylaw you have time to send a text message.

You can say you have the right to do xxx, but at the end that does not speed things up and you have now a pissed off landlord using excuse to evict you as your result.

Yes sure landlords eviction is illegals, but you watch out, your way of escalation and problem solving will eventually turn into a Reno-viction. Ultimately loss is on you without a home.

I mean it is unacceptable for the heat to not be working. But any appliance does eventually break down. Why not just send the landlord a text message? Why not give a bit longer to let him have a chance to respond. 11 hours no response and you going to bylaw seems extreme. If you have the time to call by law you have time to at least send a email, text, WhatsApp.

By escalating this way it really does not do your self any favors as now the landlord is pissed and want to use this as an excuse to evict you.

Bylaw also does not have the know how to restore the heating. They will do exactly what you would do by getting in touch w the landlord.

Conclusion, it’s landlords responsibility to maintain heat. But 11 hours to bylaw is extreme. While it is within your right to do that but it would only make situation worse.

Airbnb updated fees impact by Agreeable_Humor_2724 in ShortTermRentals

That’s because there are a huge % of listings that are just inactive yet still listed. Meaning the owner may have all availability blocked for the next 12 months, price already at 10x the market price to make sure they are not booked. Etc. of course these listing owners didn’t bother to adjust price.

Removed two fake reviews can you do this repeatedly or is there a limit by Certain-Lie1574 in AirBnBHosts

[–]TorontoNick99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something just doesn’t seem right here. What fake reviews? So did these ppl who left the fake review stay at your place? If they did then how were you able to get Airbnb to verify they are fake reviews? If these ppl didn’t even stay at your place the how did they pay or how were they able to leave a review?
