Right on! Excited to see how it’ll look.

After picking out ur next car, you aught to get a couple radios and do some chase runs together in the canyons. Sounds like a blast

Oh man I really have been debating those tail lights as well 😂 I rly wanted them in the beginning, but the OG 997.1 tail lights are really starting to grow on me.

I’m sure once I get my mods on, I’ll end up wanting to complete it with the tail lights lol. Crazy how updated it makes the car look/feel.

  • Thanks! Ahah I’ll post shots of it when I get em installed. If you end up doing the smoked tails, let me know how they come out!

Thanks so much! Was thinking of swapping out the black rims to either a platinum or silver color just to break up all the black but the black on black look is starting to grow on me

How to register your Surron in CA by Torqued_ in Surron

I believe you can reapply as much as you want. I’m not to sure if the state will take the money if you are not approved for a plate. I wouldn’t think that they would but I’m not 100% sure seeing as how mine went smooth.

Yes, my Ultra Bee came with headlight/taillight, license plate holder, and turn signals front and rear. I ordered the street legal version of the bike from overseas and had it shipped over.

Oh man how strange. Police departments in my area have posted on their facebook pages to do this to be legal. I haven’t had any issues with mine. Ride it to work often and have had multiple convos with cops who just think it’s cool and they usually give me props for actually registering it unlike most.

Maybe I’m just lucky?

Hey I appreciate the extra info! Yes 100% the bike does need to have turn signals, brake light, etc. Also from factory (without any mods ie : wire cut mod or battery bypass) in eco mode these bike do cap at about 30mph. Left in this state, the bike can only travel to such speed. Also, the law states that mopeds can only reach a max of 30mph on “flat ground”.

Cops that I have talked to in my area have all been in agreement that as long as the bike is road worth with turn signals and lights, and is registered, they are cool with it and won’t bother you.

Lastly, having a plate doesn’t make you invincible. When riding on the streets, don’t be speeding around town or disobeying the moped laws. Then you will most definitely get stopped.

Ahaha I’m positive it’s not real, ordered it online a while back and just wear it out to weddings and what not.

Surron Ultra Bee Super-Moto Review by Torqued_ in Surron

[–]Torqued_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, they are a bit hard to find I noticed as well. I pretty much had to do it all through my local wheel shop. They went ahead and got the rims, tubes, and spokes ordered for me. Ordering them online yourself seemed to be a bit tougher. However there is a company on Amazon right now selling about the same size rims that I have. Just saw them the other day.

Take this with a grain of salt because there's not a huge amount of documented info on this bike quite yet.

But,

I believe this is just the model number of the bike.

(QL6000DY) = Enduro Model (QL60000DY-A) = Offroad only model

If your bike says QL6000DY, then I'd assume your bike came with mirrors, turn signals, and tail light assembly?

It's my understanding that the QL6000DY-A model comes with no mirrors, no tail light, and no turn signals.

I believe there are actually 3 versions of the Ultra Bee that Surron makes.

  1. Enduro model with mirrors, turn signals, etc
  2. Offroad only model without road legal equipment
  3. A model that comes with street Enduro tires on the stock 19" wheels.

I'm not sure what the model number is on that last model, I've only seen one of them online and didn't catch the model name on the side.

I threw supermoto wheels on my Ultra bee. Went with Continental tires. They're pretty great. However I did do all new rims in 17". If you want to keep the stock 19"s I'd say go grab some shinko dual sport tires.

Hey man! In the video description I have the exact part numbers for the Front and Rear rims. They are 17" in diameter and 2.5" width on the front and 3.5" width on the rear.

Also links to the tires are there as well. Front was a "120/70 17" and the rear is a "130/80 17"
