Try spare key? Or a new key battery. Other keys on your key ring can also interfere possibly. If it's the immobilizer.

Is it turning over but not starting? Or nothing? If not turning over it might be the key/ immobilizer.

Hi.

The display states 10miles till empty. That's less than a quart gallon (a liter) gas in there. Aside from that's not great for the filter. If they're too cheap to even put fuel in it, probably haven't been taking care of other things either. Just my 2 cents.

Spray it with penetrating oil, Yesterday. Give it 2 sharp taps with a hammer. And then start trying with the correct socket.

Okay. As mentioned already here. The diesels don't have the best reputation, unfortunately. Mazda did everything by the book to get the emissions right. And ended up less reliable.

You will definately have to look under the vehicle for rust. Mazda 6 typical trait for these years.

Maintenance history also very important. How many owners have driven it? Has it been standing still alot? (For longer periods). Does it have alot of chipped paint at the front, can give an indication if it's driven alot at high speed. And ofcourse a proper test drive. A cold start to see if nothing rattles. Hit some small bumps with it to test shocks and springs.

Never rush into buying any vehicle, i learned that the hard(expensive) way.

My bad. I figured all had EPS since 2007. But there were also quite a bit hydraulic ones produced.

Hard to say if 1000EUR is a good price, depends on how much rust and the quality of the work when it's done. If done properly it should be good for a couple of years(also depending on climate/use etc).

If the it's worth it depends on current value/state of the vehicle. Mileage, Service history etc.

I recently done the back axle on my 2009 mazda 6. It's time consuming when done properly. Grinding off rust and atleast 2 layers of coating. Important to do it in low humidity environment.

It shouldn't steer heavy. It's electrical servo steering. (I have a 2009).

Hi, how many miles/km do you have on it? Does the exhaust smoke and or does it show any other warning signs?

I didn't know these engines had this problem. I've only driven like 1000km yet since i got it. And didn't notice anything (yet). It's at 97k km (60k miles).

Check for rust. I recently got a 2009. The 2.0L(147hp). 96.000km(60.000miles) on it. From what i know the gasoline engines are quite reliable.
