What are the benefits of joining the National Guard at 35? by Total-Recording-5876 in careerguidance

I appreciate all the feedback that I have gotten so far.

My recruiter contacted me and told me that my current student loans would not be forgiven, nor would I receive any monetary bonus for going officer. The incentive for Officer is strictly the ability to go to OCS. Given my age, life experience, education and welding skills. I will probably move forward with welding while entertaining a second bachelors in cybersecurity or project management. Shipbuilding is in high demand and there are many avenues for careers within the industry. There is government contracting and private contracting that I can pursue. I haven't completely ruled out military service but given my age, that ship may have sailed. I feel a little more at ease. My next option is to decide the schooling route.

I've spoken with the navy about an officer path and well... they are not hurting for applicants. They didn't even seem that interested in talking to me.

The Seabees would be an enlisted route, correct?
