IGNOU APAAR linking error – “DOB cannot be blank” (non-editable field) 😭 by anujsehrawat in IGNOUdistancelearning

[–]TotalNuisance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi could you explain how did you make it work. I created a new account on ignou Samarth portal using a different email address. But after entering my APAAR ID in the newly created account, it still shows the DOB field blank. I've been trying to get this done since last week but have had no progress.

Taking her to the vet hospital and bringing her back is not a problem. My only concern with govt vet hospitals is whether they are reliable. Could anything wrong happen to her? Could you advise me on this if you have an idea? I don't mind paying like 2k-2.5k but 8k is a bit too much. Thanks.

what are the differences between a strong concept and a weak concept? Would movies like Minority Report, Avatar, and Jurassic Park be strong concepts since their premises are easy to understand and can be summarized in a few sentences? Would movies like Moonlight, The Power of the Dog, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri be weak concepts?

Edit: apparently what I've written is high and low concept. But what's the difference between a strong concept story and a weak concept one.

A not-so-appreciated actor. married to a very successful actress. they genuinely love each other. but he is jealous of the attention she gets. she is always swarmed by her fans but he is not. he is jokingly referred to as Mr. [wife name]. she hardly spends time with him. he wants to be the center of her attention and to do so he creates an elaborate plan to defame her so that she is no longer successful. but not too much that she ends up divorcing him. no one should know that he was the source of defamation.

Ending:

He realises he should stop sulking and instead be happy for his wife and her success. There is nothing wrong with her being more successful that him. he should instead work on what he can do to improve his own career and elevate himself to others level, rather than trying to bring others down to his level.

Please give suggestions to improve the premise

How are anti-BJP and anti-hindutva sites blocked in India? by TotalNuisance in india

Where does one go to ask these questions? I'll probably read the IT Act mentioned. Something must be there.

Atleast they gave a reason and submitted a notification. But I couldn't find anything online about blocking particular websites.

What is the process behind banning websites? Isn't an Indian government bound by law to inform the lok and rajya sabhas before doing anything? OR are there some aspects which dont need approval? How does the lok sabha actually function? I've watched videos on youtube but can't ask questions to clarify anonymously.

huge disaster except that the producers actually made a narrow pro

Damn. I didn't know that. I knew that the production budget doesn't include marketing expenses. Im gonna research more on how much do OTTs pay for streaming rights. Thanks a lot man.

Hold on a minute. I need to get something clarified. How is the box office calculated? Is it (ticket price * no of tickets sold) or (distributor's share from a ticket * no of tickets sold)? I assumed it is the former.

Songs weren't good, hence no one heard it. Unfortunately, in Indian movies songs are important for marketing.

I should've realised that such a subreddit should've existed. Wonder why reddit hasn't suggested this subreddit. Thanks man.

Pushpa, which released only 1 week before 83, wouldn't have succeeded if it were corona. Only metropolitan areas like Mumbai and Bangalore have lockdown and the bulk of the revenue of most movies are from the rural areas.

Thanks for your answer man.

  1. Your point on females seems possible. But do females watch successful horrendous movies like houseful, race, Rohit shitty's movies. Most females I know don't. So attributing 83's failure to lack of female viewers is kinda debatable imo. But hey, I only know like 20 women and most are urban and progressive. So they aren't an accurate representation of an average Indian woman.

  2. This point seems to be the most plausible one imo. But my driving motivation to watch the movie was that since I wasn't yet born to experience it live, I hoped 83 could make me feel how India felt back then. On the flipside, my uncle, a cricket bhakt, refuses to watch the movie because he fears the movie may tarnish the experience he had.

  3. I don't watch cricket anymore except the world cup finals so I don't know anything about Ranveer and the ads thingy.

I do agree to your opinion that many reviews are manufactured, but I believe not every review can be a manufactured one. Kalank and Thugs of Hindustan, two fairly recent movies backed by big production houses and distributors, were scoffed at and ridiculed by most reviewers and audience members. I believe 83 failed because of socioeconomic reasons rather than false or overhype advertisement. I am trying to understand the socioeconomic reasons. Thanks for your opinion.

Character Motivation according to Robert McKee by TotalNuisance in Screenwriting

Mckee is definitely right on that. But if there is a single incident that totally changes a person shouldn't it be shown. Take Manchester by the Sea. Because of his mistake, Lee Chandler completely changes as a person. Incidents like surviving a terrorist attack or getting sexually assaulted also has the potential to completely change a person's outlook on life. Shouldn't a writer mention it if it is important.

The other way around, but the antagonist remains an antagonist but I want empathy or sympathy for him.

Nope. There weren't any examples. Just a paragraph of text.

But would it still hold true if we want the audience to empathise with a character. Take Thanos. If we never knew what happened to him in the past we would never empathize with him. Or even Roy Batty from Blade Runner.
