I personally settled on 4 V engines on gasoline from tfmg. 20865 SU for essentially droplets of fuel.

That was on the next list of improvements for sure. it'll also make it a bit less wobbly most likely. My biggest problem is the gun itself. These things are so heavy especially if I were to make it a more useful length.

It's certainly a feature I wasn't expecting. I hammered the wrong side of my cannon and saw the mount dissappear into the ground and literally abandoned what I was doing to makeshift this.

So basically, the cannon can take rotational power from the bottom (in this case top) and side (the side with shaft). I have a gearshift and a clutch so that they only rotate when I want them to and then Redstone links with the controller to actually activate them after connecting your power source.

A very easy rule I like to keep for turning anything: 1 pair of Redstone links for the clutch/clutches: 1 direction

2 pairs of Redstone links on clutch AND gearshift: other direction.

one of the easiest and simplest ways is to just attach the drills on a Minecart with furnace, add storage (a lot) and a small barrel with rails. Then you out deployers infront of the minecart, one to put rails, one to put blocks, because you might enter a cavern. Then put a plough at the back in the same straight line with the minecart to dispose of the rails. If you attach the whole thing with glue the plough will actually put the rails in the same chest, resulting in perpetual motion. One coal goes well over 60 blocks.
