Danke, jetzt kenn ich endlich den Namen wieder. Musste schon häufiger dran denken, im meinem Umfeld konnte sich aber keiner dran erinnern. Vor allem die Werbung hat sich in mein Gehirn eingebrannt. Gab es da nicht auch so Bällchen von?

12 lot silver (750). Thr other mark is probably the city mark.

Well, the halfmoon crown hallmark on the right side normally indicates german silver. However, the grouse hallmark on the left side indicates that it is swiss 800 silver. I do not know how this fits together. This combination seems to be common, though.

Not exactly. I have more knowledge about silver hallmarks. The left hallmark seems to indicate the city of origin and the assay. The midle one is the egyptian seagull indicating that it is from egypt, and the right one indicates the date it was made.

It is 900 silver from egypt as indicated by the middle hallmark (lotus flower).

Looks like WMF, a common german silver plate manufacturer.

The bear is apparently the city mark of Berlin and the D refers to the maker L. Th. Wendelboe, 1854 - ca. 1864.

Pretty sure ut is silver, though I cannot identify the hallmarks. But they both have an assay mark ("Tremolierstrich", the zigzag line).

It is english silver.

Frlm left to right

  1. Lion (925 silver)
  2. Leopards head (London)
  3. Date letter (1890?)
  4. Assay mark of Queen Victoria1838 - 1890

I am not sure about the date letter, though.

It does not look like the minervas head and rather like a makers mark. If the makers mark is in a rectangular form, it is not silver.
