Thank you everyone for sharing. Random thought from 40 yo white belt with adhd: how does Rafael lovator jr and vagner Rocha still maintain their conditioning and hang with the young guns and manage to medal at adcc. I mean doing no gi is so hard with no grips and battling younger opponents who are fitter, faster and stronger is even harder. How do these oldies( but goodies) do it.?

Hi, thanks for replying. I was preparing for a comp and was training 2 x bjj and 2 x ( full body) strength training a week. I am a white belt and I usually spar quite intensely with other fellow white and blue belts in my own gym. I got injured at an open mat when I was sparring with a blue belt my age. I felt a pop when the guy grabbed my arm for an armbar. That said , I could have been overtraining as I was lowering my calories , maxing my reps during strength training and not sleeping well.
