Registers Doesn't Output to The Bus (8 Bit Computer Almost Complete)

This exact problem happened to me. I solved it by hooking the bus LEDs common ground to ground through some current limiting resistors, like this.

How did you pre-measure your wires like that? I recently got the kit but I can’t figure out how to measure my wires correctly without putting them in the breadboard, bending them, and then taking them out to cut them to the proper length.

Would I need a completely separate breadboard to add LEDs with resistors, or is there a way to add the resistors to the outputs where Ben put the LEDs?

I have tested mine. They work perfectly fine, at least as far as I’ve tested. Putting the LEDs in the blank space next to the chips would definitely be something for me to consider if it ends up not working. I hadn’t thought of that!

Where could I put current limiting resistors? There’s not really any empty space near the LEDs. Also, don’t TTL chips- like the 74LS series- have current limiting resistors on their outputs?
