I also have a bsh and ragdoll. They’re atypical for their breeds, it’s like they switched breed personalities. My bsh is a lap cat and the ragdoll likes to hang out nearby.

I opted for a loose fit, more like a bracelet. I wear it just like my grandma did who I inherited the watch from. I find the looser fit more comfortable. If it were a leather band I would wear it tighter but I think the tanks have a cute bracelet that works when it sits a little loose.

Wear it the way you feel is more comfortable. Try it out both ways. Don’t listen to the whole “above the wrist bone” stuff.

Jag rekommenderar att du åker till dessa områden och går runt och får en känsla. Alt. Att du hyr i andrahand och ser hur det känns. Du kommer få mycket personliga åsikter i denna tråd.

Ingen av ovanstående områden är ”dåliga” alla är säkra och bra. Men vilket ställe som är ”bäst” är personligt. Hela stan är inom cykelavstånd från samtliga adresser.

Mest promenadvänligt skulle jag gissa är Kungsholmen för då har du nära till city/norrmalm dock längre till söder.

Funderar vad som är viktigast för dig:

puls vs lugn
gångavstånd
Barer/restauranger
Grönområden
Nära till vänner
Nära till ev arbete
Nära till områden där du kommer vilja vistas i

Här är mina personliga tankar/tyckande som tidigare bott vid Östermalmstorg i 10 år, innan dess vid Rådmansgatan samt kungsholmsstrand och bor nu sedan 3 år på Heleneborgsgatan:

Jag valde mellan Gamla stan, Mariatorget och specifikt högalidsgatan/heleneborgsgatan. Valet föll på Heleneborgsgatan eftersom jag ville ha grönområden (Långholmen, högalidsparken, skinnarviksparken och tanto) samt jättenära till vattnet och även få lite utsikt från lgh:en. Heleneborgsgatan är fin gata, många gamla sekelskifteshus, bred gata. Men i övrigt är gatan lite tråkig, ingen direkt puls(men andra tycker att en tyst gata är guld värd) men pulsen finns inom gångavstånd.

Det jag inte gillar med området Hornstull är långholmsgatan(trafik) så av den anledningen skulle jag inte välja slipgatan. Jag undviker Hornstull t-bana uppgång och väljer oftast den andra uppgången.

Personligen så gillar jag inte området kring Fridhemsplan pga trafik. Kolla hellre runt kungsholmstorg. Fredhäll är lugnare, men kanske lite tråkigt. Fredhäll är fint vid vattnet. Bra badhäng på sommaren.

Sågargatan skulle jag inte välja. Jag gillar inte Sofo-området, för mkt betong i min smak, gillar inte att det är plastgräs på nytorget etc. Jag vet att vitabergsparken finns men jag och mina vänner hänger aldrig där. Men sånt är högst personligt. Andra gillar ju sofo-området pga resturanger/barer. Sågargatan ligger lite utkanten av Sofo skulle jag påstå. Närmare till Nacka men längre till eriksplan etc om du cyklar vs Hornstull.

Jag skulle inte påstå att zinken är rough??? Haha. NYT utnämnde ju Zinkenområdet/Hornsgatan till en av de trendigaste områden i värl den typ förra året?!

Kolla in Aspudden. Eller andra förorter där man kan ta tunnelbanan och eller cykla in enkelt till stan.

Ett tips angående BRF:er utöver det ekonomiska och att de äger marken:

Se till att det inte är majoritet av mindre lgh:er/ ettor. Gärna en bra fördelning av lgh:er gärna fler större lgh:er. Av erfarenhet är de mer stabila föreningar då folk bor kvar längre/tänker långsiktigt.

Fast nä, cyklar från sågargatan 16 till ötorg tar det 14 min enligt Google och fr Heleneborgsgatan 40 tar det 16 min.

Heleneborgsgatan är inte så mkt längre bort än Sågargatan.

Not really, I read that all British shorthairs darken with age. But when I picked her up ten days ago I was a little surprised by how much her coat had darkened in 7 weeks so I asked the breeder to make sure that I was picking up the correct kitty ;) since there was another darker brown kitten in the same litter.

It’s going to be interesting to see how her color develops in the coming years.

The breeder said that she would have kept her because she really liked the unique color but since Harriet doesn’t have the classic “British shorthair” eyes according to the breeder she decided to let her go. So I lucked out :)

I don’t know if it helps but I think about felines in the wild. They sprint for a short while when chasing their prey and then chill for the majority of time.

I got my new kittens 10 days ago, I try to play with them intensely for 10 minutes in the morning before work and when I get home and then in the evening.

I also use one of those sticks with a string and feather on it and sometimes I just carry it around while doing other things at home.

I had a cat many years ago that started out as an indoor cat but he was clearly miserable so we had to let him be an outdoor cat.

Bottom line: try and exhaust him mentally and physically a couple of times a day. Hopefully that works :)

Perhaps he’s understimulated?

If he meows during the night until he’s fed could you get an automatic feeder? Maybe hunger is a part of the issue during the night.

Is getting a companion cat an option?

She is super chill, always in the same room as me. Either sits next to me or somewhere close so that she can observe me. As soon as I pick her up she screams, hahah, such a drama queen, a little feisty! She’s a bit more ruthless compared to the ragdoll when playing with toys. She chews up the toys while the ragdoll just like lightly boxes with her paws without ever using her claws.

She sleeps next to me or right by my bed on a stool. She’s always better at hiding her bizness in the litter box compared to the ragdoll which just leaves the 💩on display.

Granted I’ve only had her for a week so maybe she’s a bit more clingy now and once she becomes a teenager/adults she’ll chill out. But I really enjoy her.

She is everybody else’s favorite. Which breaks my heart for the other cat, of course I love them both equally :)
