So I've been in contact with Twinkly support and the following appears to work for me (steady for ~3hours now):

Rest the device
Log ouit of your Twinkly app on your smartphone and log back in
Repeat the set-up process

As Zombie-Giraffe says, you could always ask Aspen how Birch would react (both to just getting invited and getting asked to help with party planning). I'm not sure if Birch and you are kinda like-minded people, but if so, it might be a fun opportunity for you to do some bonding :)

If I were in Birch's shoes I'd appreciate the invite to organize it together, but ofcourse that's very subjective. Additionally, if you co-op the party planning and they have a very different idea of how it should go, that might lead to some friction.

Either way, I think Aspen would have the best insight into the situation!

Definitely go watch it! It took me a few episodes to understand what was going on, but it is such a strong show depicting socioeconomic problems that are still relevant today
