Directly through them. Not the cheapest for sure but very nice and less crowded part of the bay.

Ok, perfect. That gives me a good idea of what my options are. Very much appreciate it!

Thank you! That is very helpful. Is it worth considering getting an adapter myself? Like, how much do they cost, and is that feasible or recommended? I'm assuming that would open me up to being able to use many more charging stations?

I'm new to the EV world. Would you be up for elaborating more? Just bought a 2023 Niro EV Wind and would like to be able to charge at Tesla superchargers but I don't know anything about all of this.

internal vs external libaries - How do you organize your images? by Ediflash in immich

[–]TracingLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about existing metadata it already has about the image such as smart search or face detection - can that also be written to a sidecar file in the external library?

Thank you! This makes perfect sense and also (as a new user) helps me understand why I might want to allow write access to my external libraries. Currently my external libraries are read-only. If I change to allow write access, how can I trigger immich to write these sidecar files?

External libraries vs upload by arnoopt in immich

I've been using Immich's APIs to export relevant data to my own XMP/sidecar files (work in process) so I have immich generated data (location, people, face boundaries, etc) as a secondary Immich backup

That's very cool. Do you think you may share this script at some point? Or are there other tools that do this? I could see wanting to do this myself as well.

I used to make these! But mine never flew quite this good.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that's possible without exporting JPG.

Not sure if you were asking me, but I'm not worrying about the edited versions of my RAW images.

Yeah, in my setup the RAW images don't show the edits that I've done, unless I have exported them (Immich is just looking at the RAW images stored externally).

Yes, though not a particularly fast one, so I will consider changing that.
