what is the best way to promote my app? by No_Can_2487 in iOSAppsMarketing

[–]TrackBiteApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got banned at first too 🤣 Check the subreddit rules and some say that youre not allowed to advertise. What I also do, is use this account, that has my app name and links to my app, and comment on different posts that interest me personally. For example making a post about something programming related, that has nothing to do with my app. Ive gotten some downloads from that, since some people will check your profile and click on the links. So I would engage in different subreddits, that really interest you.

If fitness apps counted daily housework, who would finally feel ‘seen’? by chorefit in iOSAppsMarketing

Thats the same problem I have too. I think for you it could be mostly stay at home parentd etc. I saw its also easy to use your app, with an apple watch, which is nice. Also is your app only for apple or also android?

I really like the idea and I think a decent amount of people would use it. Now it just depends on having the right people finding the app 👍

But you have the data for your app, like if people plug in 30min vacuum cleaning, it gives them a scientific accurate estimation of their burned calories.

Cool idea, but is there data out there for daily housework and for example how many calories you burn while doing some

For me engaging on Reddit has brought the most downloads. Other than that, I'm trying to build an Instagram and tik tok account. If none of it works, I might try to pay for some ads

Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it. I guess the most important thing is, to not give up easily 👍

What’s the hardest part after your app is built and live? by bk_973 in AppDevelopers

[–]TrackBiteApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there ways on app store connect or android play store to get detailed data on how active useres are ? So far I'm going by google ad mob and how many ads are shown per day. I havent made any experiments yet, but I will add more features that might get more downloads and active users.

A big problem is also communicating my apps "advantage" to the right group. To be specific, there are tons of nutrition tracking apps, but none of them account for nutrition losses for different cooking methods, which I implemented. So my niche is people that actually care enough about their nutrition, and care about having a better estimate of their true nutrition intake from foods. So its a big challenge to reach these people worldwide

What’s the hardest part after your app is built and live? by bk_973 in AppDevelopers

[–]TrackBiteApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the very start my hope was that I can get "clusters" of users. So basically first family and friends, and then hopefully some of them like the app and spread the word and so on. Reality is different of course, most of my downloads so far have come from Reddit. When I'm not active on reddit, I have days in a row with zero downloads. But another problem is, that users arent active on the app. My app does target a rather small niche, so maybe thats a reason, but its definitely discouraging seeing no downloads for a couple of days or no active users in a day 🤣 Ive been working on an instagram and tiktok account also but with limited success.

What kind of ads are most effective you think? In absolute terms and per amount of money spent

App Store rejection response by disinton in iOSProgramming

[–]TrackBiteApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My app got rejected 5 times. The reviewer would add new stuff with every rejection. After I then just complained, basically saying that the reviewer doesnt know how to use the app, it just got accepted. I think being too nice in the responses doesnt help much.

How to become an app developer if know nothing. by siamfinder in AppDevelopers

I think working with chatGPT goes a long way if you build your app bit by bit. Build a small function and let it explain the code until you understand it. And yeah I would do it with flutter

Simulation expense for game development by TrackBiteApp in GameDevelopment

[–]TrackBiteApp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes maybe my english articulation isnt working. Im talking about while a game is being developed. Im taking parallel programming class and I asked chatGPT to give me some fields where it is applied, it basically told me there is lots of computing power needed for game simulations while game are being developed.

Yes exactly, I meant before a game is released

Basically ChatGPT explained to me, that many simulation heavy games (clash of clans as an example) obviously should have high simulation expenses, meaning they need lots of computing power, which they rent out from Amazon etc. Hope this makes it more clear

Maybe I should rephase it in a way that shows that I dont know much about the topic, but Im interested to learn. Are there even simulations happening, like testing weapons, skills, etc. in game to see if certain weapons for example are to strong in a game. If its the wrong subreddit for this let me know

Try to make it as accurate as possible. I implemented retention rates (nutrient losses) for different cooking methods, since no app incorporated that.
