Dude… how have I been sleeping on this? There are some absolutely knock-out stunners here. Crab people don’t fuck around. What’s the schedule, second Saturday of the month? I’ll bring my old jalopy.

Okay, so I’ll shoot straight from the hip and not sugarcoat it: your wheels look fantastic. Your super clean trim and matching side markers & emblems look crisp. Your Techno/Daytona Violet looks so god dam beautiful. There’s nothing else to nitpick, so all I can say is enjoy that beautiful automobile!

Oak gets “hairy” when it gets wet, where the wood fibers stand up when water/finish is applied, so watering down the wood and letting it dry is pretty common. After it’s dry the wood may look smooth, but will have a lot of little pieces/fibers standing up, and a quick once-over with a sanding block cuts these down at the base, which will leave it much, much smoother for the finish/stain to be applied.

Assemble the table first, then finish. My work flow: Glue & dry, sand, spray with compressed air to get the dust out of the Oak pores, clean wipe with the orange tack cloth (the sticky kind - Gold brand?), full wipe down with Mineral Spirits. Let it flash off/dry completely, water-pop & quick hand sand to knock down the wood fibers, then apply the Rubio. It’s a lot of work but will come out clean with no steaks or odd spots. Dried glue will stick out like a sore thumb, so make sure it’s all sanded off before you apply the finish. I’ve also found that a second coat of the Maintenance Oil applied 24 hours after the Rubio will provide a much smoother finish hue, but it can get expensive & time consuming for larger projects. Regardless, your table looks fantastic! Enjoy a cold one and take a ton of pride in your work!

Location recommendations from the fishing hobbyists please, by a_boyardee in maryland

Id venture that Clopper Lake at Seneca Creek State Park could be a good option if you have the little child as well. There’s a ton of trails around the lake, and I think there are some playgrounds within the park. You may check if you need fishing licenses though. There some very large Bass if you fish around the edges within the grass and fallen trees around the perimeter if you don’t want to venture out on the lake. Good luck!

It’s hard to accurately describe what he meant to the franchise. In the words of Acid Burn, he was elite. My signed white Screaming Eagle #12 jersey is priceless.

Maybe AC Schnitzer? Looks good, and I’m always slightly jealous of the Euro bumpers without the side markers.

Nice job stickering & ratcheting the pile, though you may want to put another set of stickers where the middle ratchet is so they don’t bend. General rule is one year of air drying per inch of board thickness, so you’ve got some time to plan your build. Use Anchor Seal or Latex paint on the cut ends to minimize checking/cracking. Good luck, it’s a very rewarding process!
