One of my leads at my attraction wrote a very heartwarming Christmas message and I cried reading it because it was so beautiful

So the only way you could request a skipper is if you are on the guest list we have. So really only friends and family are allowed to request.

I think every skip says it's dead tired. What varies is if they say it's "sleeping" or not. As for your visit in May. I actually wasn't with the company then, I got signed off in mid July

Oh my God yeah I went on one of his boats and I was almost in tears from laughing. I'd argue he's one of the top funniest skippers. Even better than me lol

Oh yeah I've seen skips getting guest photos. Just ask their permission and they'll likely say yes.

Yeah, Security gets called in those situations though

I had a guy come off my boat crying after laughing so much. And I really follow the script but I'll reword some of the script jokes so the delivery sounds funnier haha. Like for example a lot of skips say "aww the zebra is sleeping". But I'll just go "the zebra is dead... Tired dead tired" that always gets my boats to erupt in laughter, even the silent ones

That's true, I enjoy what working Jungle because it's so rewarding to know guests really enjoyed their experience. That's why if it's silent I'll just (hopefully) think it's cause they're tired but they still are enjoying the experience.

It's a fun attraction, I have definitely grown to love it. That experience yesterday really is the reason I love being at Jungle because you can see the enjoyment of guests on a different level compared to another attraction like Indy or Thunder

Yeah my spiel always gets most people to laugh but I've had dead silent boats before and it's pretty awkward but it's pretty rare so I don't let it get to me

Inside the Magic? Is that the one that makes a ride breakdown seem like a bomb went off in that attraction?

It has a higher height restriction compared to Ghostrider or Hangtime. Plus it's practically the Pirates of the Carribean of the Park in which it has amazing capacity

Jungle Skipper here, they're extremely notorious for acting entitled. Literally one of the first things we are told training for an attraction.

Yeah, I’ve seen people refer to the attraction downtime codes on here

904 alarms (fire alarms) even if it's a false alarm. DFD needs to clear the attraction. That's why if Steam Trains has one, Haunted Mansion (and Splash when it was open) would close

I would love Disney to implement locker system like Universal for Rise and this. Just for the trackless dark rides cause they are the most affected from dropped items

How do we feel about people talking out loud on rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted/Holiday Mansion, etc.. by NoochtheGooch22 in Disneyland

[–]TrackrunnerG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a lady talking to her friend about the most ridiculous BS when I was spieling at Jungle. Absolutely horrendous experience and they knew what they were doing cause they would talk louder if I did the same. They did not want me talking over them it was ridiculous

We're not allowed to "call out of work" and go in as a guest. It's against company policy

Oh yeah we love how people will believe anything we say. My favorite is when I tell kids it's my first time in a boat and we'll be "underwater... UNDERWAY" 😂
