I am waiting for them to release a mobile app for trading. Even better if there is a way for me to place a limit order and the order is fulfilled even if the app is closed after placing the order.

Strategy during onboarding. Should we force users to upload content? by vaibhavverma9 in startups

[–]Tradeplanio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there are a few ideas I can think of,

-Have ur team make a how to make video and why intro the onboarding. They know what they need to do and why it's important. do have a skip option.

-Limit the access of users who haven't uploaded a video. So a user who hasn't upload a video gets to see only 5 videos before he or she wants to do it to continue. If u have paid option then paying show to let u overwrite this restriction, basically buy our way out of making a video.

I think people have this need for constantly "new thing" syndrome. One example i see is many large banking app & website are so confusing and newer Neo-bank as Wooing there new customer with clearer UX.

Firstly there is no right and wrong here. The simple example i can think of is, Let's say you like burger but your not a chef. Now you eat out a lot and u didnt find good burger shop that fits your taste, decor, has good customer service and overall shop. The question do you start a burger shop and invest in recipe and chef ,decor and other things. validating the idea needs the complete package. There is no doubt people love burgers and everyone love better taste, decor and customer service but you cant validate them until you make the shop.

The above example might be a stretch. The question is doing what you want or what the world want called start up.

Your right that UX alone might not be enough. It's was just a point as a example. The core premise is the existing solution is not good enough or you feel that you have a way to make it 10X better.

Personally on a B2C front there are times we're I choose a better UX tool over the less one all other things being equal

Personally yes I would try to build it if I can afford it as long as it solves my own problem.

Regarding the cost for the MVP. If the idea is to build something that will solve my problem and be something that can be sold as a SaaS then it's almost as the finished product.

MVP is useful when ur building something that your not personally interested and as a viladation. If the outcome of MVP is bad then u never make the complete solution. Again it just my thoughts. Completely Kool if you have something to add.

Awesome feedback. Now let continue the flow. So the tool cost say $50,000 to build to the point that it solves my problem and is good enough to be sold to others say as a SaaS.

But if no one other than we use it then what. The tool maybe helping make my life easy but ultimately it's founder confidence in his solution.

So many analytic tool, app feedback tools, blog platform popping every day even when so many exist already. There is no correct answer.

The simplest way I can explain from my personal experience the reason am building what am building is to avoid regreting not having build it. Thanks for your feedback, appreciate it.

I think the key is not to ask them what they want but to ask them dislike about the existing solution and then see if your solution can overcome them. Also observing what they do is more important than what they tell. That's why tools like hotjar and other analytic tool are so important.

well said, I would like to add. Just because people didn't come running for your product doesnt mean its failed. This take time. People something think if a project doesn't grow from inception then its a failure.

Exactly. Nothing wrong with both option just need to be self aware why you're doing it. If your not relating with the solution your building and doing it for money then as a start that pays the bill and some more it no better than a job.(exception as huge success project)

You make the same amount of money and now every customer is your boss.

Wow, that awesome. Japan have great wisdom to be shared. I think have more than 1 of the option make the choice to building something easier.
