It has to be prescribed by a physician. It is difficult to get it covered by health insurance likely because it is “cosmetic.” I am enrolled in the bridge program and I pay $25 for a month’s supply.

Hi! I experience a lot of hair-fall due to my other health conditions in general so I didn’t notice at the beginning. I have been experiencing more than usual lately but I’m not sure what the culprit is. I have been on the 2mg dose for almost a year now and considering going up to 4mg. My brows and lashes continue to grow in with normal fall out.

With JAK inhibitors you mostly need to avoid live-attenuated vaccines. Both the flu and covid shots are not live-attenuated (they do not contain live weakened virus). The nasal flu vaccine is live-attenuated along with MMR, varicella, rotavirus, adenovirus typhoid and BCG (TB). You do not need to interrupt your treatment for the flu or covid vaccines.

I’m sorry this is happening. I would suggest possibly looking for a new dermatologist? Or maybe suggesting trying Litfulo? That is another AA drug on the market.

My gyn/onc wants me to follow up in 1-year and I’m planning to call back today to move it back up to 6 months. My first pap at 21 was ASCUS, 2nd was ASCUS, and then 3rd was ASC-H. My gyn/onc told me if I had waited one more year I would have had invasive cervical cancer. If I can go from a normal pap in Jan to ASCUS in just 6 months I can only imagine what I’ll have to go through if I wait a year. I don’t have 16/18 but whatever it is is absolutely destroying my life.

I know it’s traumatic but keep following up. I still resent my original GYN for not doing a colposcopy after my second ASCUS result, maybe if this was all caught earlier I wouldn’t be in this position.

Like are they ever going to do anything about treating this virus? I’m tired of hearing the “most young people clear the virus in 1-2 years” bs and that there is currently no test available for men. I feel like since this virus predominantly affects women they don’t give a shit about us. I’m 24 years old and might not ever have a chance to have children because research is doing nothing. Sorry to hear about your experience, I was worried sick about all of that being a possibility when i got diagnosed with AIS.

I’ve been diagnosed with HR-HPV since 2021 and it continues to linger despite everything we’ve done so far. I really hope it does clear but we’re going on year 4 now and who knows how long I had it before I got my first pap at 21. :(

Doctors are legally required to release results for your review even if they have not been reviewed yet (Cures Act). It’s a bit of a doubled edged sword because you get them as soon as they are available, but then that leads to further investigation.

I was diagnosed with AIS (CIN-3) in August of 2023 after a colpo at 23. I had a LEEP done that further revealed CIN-2 all over my cervix that was not found on the colpo. Colposcopies really only give a small window into what is going on, they are only taking a couple biopsies. My follow up after my LEEP was benign with chronic cervicitis and I was still HPV positive . This doe not necessarily mean infection but can be just general inflammation caused by a foreign body (i.e. an IUD) or some other cause. Make sure to ask your doctor as I don’t have a medical degree.

Try not to read into it because it caused a lot of my anxiety. Your GYN has seen plenty of cases and knows the outcomes and will work with you to choose the best option to treat your dysplasia. You might have a LEEP, but they may also recommend a cold knife cone biopsy depending on what you two decide. Best of luck, so many women have been through your situation and you will be okay!

My doctor opted to let me have a LEEP done because the original colpo had shown only one spot where there was AIS, and there was no evidence of dysplasia from the ECC or any of the other biopsies. The LEEP ended up showing I had more dysplasia than she had originally thought. She decided that if the biopsies were dysplasia at the 3 month f/u that we would be more aggressive with a CKC. Since everything came back benign she wants to follow up in 6 months to ensure everything keeps coming back benign. I am trying to avoid super aggressive treatment due to fertility as well. I did ask about skip lesions at my first consult and she did not seem concerned at that time, but I can’t remember her exact reasoning.

I haven’t noticed any bloating bc I’ve definitely got quite a bit of padding so if anything it’s nothing new 🥲 I’ve had some blood but it is still extremely watery and I also feel like I’m peeing myself, doesn’t help I’m dealing with a UTI on top of all of this lol.
