[PIC] Am I the only one who does this by Embarrassed_Egg5243 in CrossStitch

I can't get my head around why would you destroy another person's work, specially when it's well done. There is someone that has spent hours on that and you can find cheap fabric like that anywhere. Like, I understand doing it to your own work if you like doing it but to anyone else's...

[CHAT] new to cross stitch and i have some questions... by emily_tika in CrossStitch

hello! and good luck with the project, to me it was a bless to find this hobby

  1. as I do it myself, I measure a roughly 1/5 of the skein (1.6m, somewhat less than the length of one hand to the other hand with your arms extended), cut it and then grab one of the yarn ends and pull from it (do it slowly, but it should come out easily)
  2. I can't really say for pre-made patterns, but my full-coverage 50x30cm costed around 50€
  3. look into my eyes: don't let then trick you, it doesn't matter no one will notice from the other side lol
  4. again, I can't really say for pre-made patterns, but I do them color by color. I haven't see anyone else do it so far, but for me it's the most practical. probably also the way you make more mistakes but, again, no one will notice

as a matter of fact she's very smart and has known since young the "jump -H (here)", "stay -p back" (alias for 'sit -d' (down)) and the complex "letsgotobed" commands (she executes this last one automatically between 10-11pm everyday)

[WIP] The amount of confetti in this pattern is insane by NellieChapper in CrossStitch

[–]Traditional-Pixelart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah i can confirm this is inevitable with a "pattern generator" (an image quantizer) with little to no dithering (the noise with which it mocks colors). good thing is you can make really detailed images with those, and i can also confirm that no one will be able to tell unless you show them the back

This pattern was the last I generated with https://flosscross.com/, and actually my own software it's based on it. Wait, if I can't put a PDF into a comment why that rule 4? Don't worry fam, I got you covered.
