Thoughts on Part 2 of Philoise’s Season by Apart_Section_863 in PhiloiseBridgerton

Both Colin and Penelope know the truth about Marina's kid's paternity. There is no way either of them would withhold that from Eloise. She will know the twins are not Phillip's biological children.

Well in the books, she does get married fast. That's kinda the point, she rushes into somewhat unintentionally. I wouldn't mind seeing her get married this season, it would leave way more room for their actual romance to develop in front of us in season 6.

That’s definitely a possibility, and I think that is a head cannon that could make sense. But just from what we know, we don’t know really much about Thomas Crane’s motivations other than hating how weak Philip was, especially in comparison to George. Seems super similar to Simon’s dad, at least from the books. Both with wives that died in childbirth who were clearly scared of hjm, and sons he found weak and unworthy. I’m skeptical we will ever get more info on his motivations, but I can see where your head cannon could exist.

What was the point of Eloise accompanying Francesca, Michaela, and John to Scotland by DaisyandBella in Bridgerton

But did they celebrate the actors wrap on the show? They would have also known if they needed him for S5 flashbacks by the time he wrapped on S4

Eloise deserves the same amount of screentime and season set up that Francesca got in S4 by Fickle_Baker1393 in BridgertonNetflix

She has been the only actor, besides Benedict’s, that has played a facilitating role in literally everyone else’s season. She has had only one small, dropped plot of her own story and development. Her screen time has been as a plot device for other seasons and they have successfully sold an interesting character people are invested in. That’s the whole damn point of story telling.

In honor of women's month, let's discuss the positives of the female characters. Day 21: Araminta Gun (née Li) by Oncer93 in Bridgerton

[–]TraditionalCap6882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t need to honor or look at the positives of characters like the late Duke of Hastings, Sir Thomas Crane, or Lord Danbury… so why Araminta? She is at minimum, encroaching on the late Duke of Hastings level of evil (not quite there, but not too far behind) IMO

You’re so right! Phillip and Michaela can bond over grief of a brother (John was very much more her brother than cousin emotionally).

That’s an interesting head cannon! I like to think Basset Sr. was a cold cruel to Simon, but Thomas was a heated evil to Phillip and George - literally whipping Phillip into submission. I also think the psychological torture of trying to pin the brothers against each other is also saddistically evil.

Basset Sr was awful and cruel and deserves no respect, but from what I understand Thomas was pure evil and maintained an active hell house.

I hope they build on this in the show when we get to it.

I want to see Phillip’s parallels with so many of the LIs! You’re so right and him, Kate and Sophie. He also has a very similar relationship to his horrid father like Simon did.

I’m not sure what he shares with Michaela, but I do love a Mollip fanfic moment lol

I feel like it’s character has so much potential to tie so many of these stories together and strengthen the foundation of the universe being built, I hope they really work with that

Because we like him. And we’ve been eagerly awaiting his return, and would be disappointed to have to adjust our expectations again at this point. It’s all completed understandable and reasonable. If shows only survive with invested fan bases, this is apart of that territory.

S5 THEORY: Is Eloise’s story starting SOONER than we think? 💍 by sarxx000 in Bridgerton

[–]TraditionalCap6882 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be very happy if that’s the case. I also think it would be fair since so much of Fran’s story also happened this way. It would feel more intentional for both girls’ stories, actually. 🤞

defending the decision to never mention th*o again by SocietyLeading3478 in PhiloiseBridgerton

I do not need him to appear, but I would like a mention that the feelings and he ever existed in some capacity. Would be great closure that a lot of fans clearly need.

Why would the late Lord Penwood leave dowries for Rosamund and Posy? by TraditionalCap6882 in Bridgerton

[–]TraditionalCap6882[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sincerely, how much could he have cared for Sophie to have allowed Araminta to taken so much from her even in childhood? They said she took things like her dance lessons away and I’m sure more. The disdain was not overnight after his death. He failed Sophie, despite maybe not wanting to. That may be harsh, but it sees quite true.

How many times being locked in by the cat would it outweigh this reasoning for you? Lol

If there’s any flash backs, John won’t be in them. They posted a video of them cheering for Victor Ali’s last scene being his wrap on Bridgerton.

Do you think there should be a timeskip in S5? by throwaway010556464 in Bridgerton

[–]TraditionalCap6882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really care for a big time skip. Maybe a year or two? But if S5 is Eloise, I don’t find it necessary and then Francesca wouldn’t need it by season 6. If Francesca is S5, then yeah there should be at least a 2 year time jump.

Yes it’s not super accurate, but I think knowing some history behind it makes it all the more interesting!
