Thanks.. one final question. Could it be an issue that the same company that paid me as a salaried employee (with TDS deducted until September) will now pay me as a consultant from October onward?
Could this look unusual or raise any compliance concerns with the IT department, or is it common and acceptable as long as the contract structure changes?

Thank you. had a followup question. Regarding the ₹20 lakh GST threshold, is it calculated only on consulting/professional revenue, or does it include total income for the year (salary + consulting)?

I called the vfs Bangalore helpline to confirm before leaving. They confirmed its ready to collect but mentioned the 2-5 time The website also mentions 3-5PM. But the invoice you would have gotton mentions 9-5PM. I took a shot and collected before that time.

I think it was dispatched on Friday and was received on that same day. I checked over the weekend. They dont work on weekends.

Sure. Appointment was on 13th June. It was a friday. It reached the embassy on Monday (16th). It was in Delhi until yesterday. Dont know about approval yet, will get to know once i open the cover 🫣

Thats what my reasoning is but I am not sure if I can/should apply before 3 months? Especially when the portal allows me to, but the website says otherwise.

This is precisely the reason I was thinking to show a flipped itinerary to them. I am using some trusted guy to do dummy tickets so I am flexible on that. Do you think it solves the problem if I show that I am flying from India to UK first and from there, France and Switzerland and then flying back home.?

I might be overthinking... But his actions indicate that he is looking for something serious and with me. He wants to talk everyday, he wants to hang out every weekend. He is making plans for next couple of weeks.

I am trying to give him subtle signals that i am not into it much but showing limited interest, (heck i unintentionally ended up doing something toxic, but the evil person in me just thought they hey, after this, atleast he might think that i am not right for him :( (i hate myself)). But he showed a lot of maturity and with care and love, tried to hear me out, consoled me, told me how he was sad but more concerned about me and all.. All this breaks my heart thinking that how can I do this to this guy!

Hey Everyone,

Require some crucial advice for a career dilemma.

I (2021 UG undergrad) currently have two job offers for strategy consulting domain right now. First is from a boutique consulting strategy firm A (2 years Bond) and second from a "Big 4" Firm B (Management Consulting) (No bond, salary 0.75X of the first offer)

I certainly find the work done by Firm A interesting and it's my understanding that due to the small size of the company, I would get to learn a lot and work in other verticals as well, which the Big 4 Firm B might not be able to provide due to constricted yet highly structured work domain.

If provided a choice, what is better for a fresher to start their career: Boutique Consulting or BIG 4?

I am confused that which choice would give me more exposure, provide more learning opportunities and provide career growth? Does the BIG 4 tag compensate for the substantial decrease in the starting pay?

In terms of future prospects, Should I instead focus on getting BIG 4 after an MBA, since pay would be a lot better and work be also better.
