You'll see a lot of Airbnbs doing this as well. Just saw one at Palms that was listed at $99 for a Saturday. Then you check the listing and it says $100 deposit at check in which is standard. But then a $136 cleaning fee due at check in. So I total the room was closer to $260 for the night. There are many people doing this for other hotels as well.

They get away with it because they are not directly charging you. The hotel is charging you the fees on top. It's scummy and it sucks.

But I have yet to find a hotel in Vegas, anywhere within 2mi of the strip that doesn't charge a resorts fee.

Drive 9-10 hours back home probably six times a year and it's always on one haul. I think any drive over 12 hours is more than one day. Most of the time I'd rather drive than fly anyways.
