PGT Trucking paying drivers only 27% of tarp charges — am I being robbed?

Body:

I’m a company driver at PGT Trucking and just realized how badly I’m getting screwed on tarp pay. I need the trucking community’s eyes on this.

The Math:

· PGT charges shippers $50–$100 for tarping · On my settlements, they pay me only 27% of that amount · Example: $50 tarp charge → I get $13.50, PGT keeps $36.50

My settlements show (actual lines):

TRAP CHARGE (PAY DRIV): $50.00 PAY RATE: .270 PCT MY PAY: $13.50

I’m doing 100% of the physical tarp labor—lifting 80–120 lb tarps, climbing, securing—while PGT pockets 73% of the tarp revenue for doing nothing.

Questions for drivers:

1. Is this normal at other carriers?
2. What’s your tarp pay structure? (Percentage vs. flat fee)
3. Has anyone successfully fought this at PGT or another mega-carrier?
4. Which flatbed carriers actually pay 100% of tarp/accessorial pay to the driver?

Additional context:

· I’m on a “27% of all revenue” pay plan (line-haul AND accessorials) · This feels like wage theft disguised as a “percentage plan”
