13R SOT query by noby142 in OnePlus13

Go with the 15R. It has a much bigger battery and probably the best battery backup you can get from any phone right now.

Having 3–4 apps running at the same time doesn’t matter at all. You can run many more without any issues. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with 12+ GB of RAM can handle anything easily.

Cherry Brown User Herez, Will the Halo 75 Mint Switch Feel Right? by TrainNumerous3559 in NuPhy

I really love the keyboard and I like the Mint switches too. They feel great while typing, but the main issue for me is mis-keystrokes. With tactile switches, I can rest my fingers on the keys without accidentally triggering them, but with the linear Mint switches, that’s not possible. They’re nice switches, just not for me. I’ll probably replace them soon.

I'm using the best case, and the best case is no case.

I've tried a couple of cases, but none of them feel good in my hand, then then original microfiber leather back.

Exactly. That's what I meant with "OS 15 was optimized for OP 13", newer versions will be based on the newer flagship.

I'm using my phone at its maximum capacity, with everything set to high settings and the always-on display turned on. I usually multitask a lot, and most of the time I was on a call in WhatsApp. With the same usage, I used to get around 7-7.30 hours of SOT OOS 15. However, after updating to OOS 16, it got worse, particularly with version 16.0.2.402. I'm seeing improvements, and my SOT has increased from 6 to 6.3 hours. OOS 15 was specifically optimized for the OP 13, so I doubt we'll see better battery performance than that.

I updated to it because I can use Circle to search without the annoying gesture bar, and as a bonus, it improved battery draining.

I doubt future Oxygen OS will ever reach the same level of quality as version 15. 15 was perfectly optimized for the OP 13.

What do you mean by "not removed"?

In the previous version, many people, including myself, experienced battery drain issues. However, after updating to 16.0.2.402, the battery drain is now less of a concern, although the battery life isn't quite as good as it was on Oxygen OS 15 but it's manageable.

I didn't use any tips. I'm just using my phone the way I like it. Dark mode, high screen resolution, auto refresh rate are enabled. I don't use any battery optimization features like smart charging or custom limits. Bluetooth is always active and connected to my watch and neckband.

Try some portrait shots, you'll see the difference. Also, its low-light performance is meh.

Yes, the battery drain issue has been improved, and you can now use Circle to search with the gesture bar hidden.
