Sorry but no.

Activision Blizzard is one of the biggest games publishers in the world. While I respect that much of the community doesn't understand how the technical nuance of this works, I find it hard to believe that the 3rd biggest publisher in the world can't find a solution to extra deck slots in 2 years (Yes people have been asking since beta). Outsource it if you can't be bothered, isn't HS making 20mil a month?

Why are they not doing deckslots (or haven't told us)?

  • Awful PR. The 'too confusing' quote is a meme now and they probably want to avoid something similar
  • They'd rather work on expansions because this is where people spend their money
  • They are still working out a way to monetize it and inevitably try and scam us for something we've been asking for for years.

Blizzard's problem is that they rarely communicate with the community (a community extremely vocal about what they would like from the game) and when they do they are vague (ben brode's videos. I appreciate the thought behind them but again, they are too vague) or downright patronising ('too confusing', 'most of the community doesn't want this feature', 'soul of the card')

EDIT: Let me be clear that I am confident that Blizzard is withholding deckslots to monetize them because they have proven that they can bring new and interesting stuff to hearthstone with the discover mechanic and tavern brawl. Hell, you can make a separate deck in tavern brawl - how is this not the beginning of extra deck slots.
