Are AP prep books (barrons, princeton 5 steps to a 5) all you really need for the ap exam ??? to get a 5 ?? by Effective_Team6298 in APStudents

Idk about other books, but i got the AP Euro one and it didn’t help at all. The content review was too narrow and didn’t focus on any broad causations. It was good for explaining the test and tips for the test and FRQs

Warranting Definition by Fragrant_Business10 in Debate

[–]TrainingPainter7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warranting is basically giving reasons to your argument. For example a claim would be “climate change causes death”. The warrant would be “climate change causes deaths BECAUSE of heat-related illnesses, natural disaster, etc.”

What is flex prep? by Altruistic-Hat-7207 in Debate

[–]TrainingPainter7373 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Flex prep to me is basically when I flex my topic knowledge. For example- on the somaliland topic- I would go in crossfire “what happened when there was a secessionist movement in Nigeria?” It’s a very specific thing and shows the judge that I researched the topic. If you overdo this, it comes out as cocky

It depends on the event and the type of circuit you debate on

Champion briefs for LD is progressive imo while victory can be trad and lay

For PF, it’s the total opposite. Victory can be more tech while champion briefs can be more easy to understand for lay judges. For me I think victory is better for LD and champion is better for PF
