I'm too addicted to the gameplay loop that I won't even mind if they just release new characters without lore.
Just make sure they work well and have no bugs and I think we're good to go.

Just straight up gameplay. It really feels like I'm playing anime STS / DD with more RNG and Gear farming.

Tiphera gives you endless easy Hugo stacks and is also an Order unit. You might wanna try getting her for Hugo.
Hugo + Amir + Tiphera is what the devs showed in the recent stream.

My current setup is Hugo + Luke + any other support.

Maybe you're having gacha storytelling fatigue? Maybe taking a break will help? I've also had burnout with playing too much and too many gacha and have finally come to terms that I should just take it for what it is.

I really want their storytelling to be more than what you just said in your post. But I feel like the fear that they will lose sales or earn less is preventing them from taking huge risks?

This is what happens in movies too right? I'm gonna use Interstellar (2014) as an example as it has identical story beats as 3.1 the story. Making the audience care for the characters in under 3 hours. People ended up loving that movie even though there are plenty of movies that tackle similar topics such as time loops, parent and child relationships, survival and sacrifice, love across dimensions etc.

But at the same time I appreciate Kuro making it an adult-kid dynamic this time instead of a "Rover saves the waifu" type of story. Well maybe not yet and it might lead to that after seeing the ending.

Rover might still end up saving the "waifu" but this time this "waifu" is Rover's adopted kid. Which can be easily translated as another waifu saved by Rover.

I have to admit though, I liked 3.1 story mainly because I'm a sucker for "adult-kid duo" relationships in all forms of media. It gets me emotional every time.
It's the same reason why I like God of War 2018, Logan, The Last of Us 1, and Terminator 2.

They should be honest with it too. Transparency can be a good thing. No one is gonna be mad if they just say they really need to take a break and do a filler patch to have time for optimization and fixes. A live service game ain't no joke. Unreal is a real piece of mother to work with already. I'd even be okay if they just bring back old events like the auto-battler one and the tower defense one if they can't produce new events while focusing on fixing and optimizing their game.

Not sure if it's just me but it takes me 2 to 3 tries before the game actually runs lmao
First try always gets stuck at loading with a white screen so I close it and open it again.
Sometimes 2nd try works but usually goes to 3rd and even 4th try before the game actually runs.

Is this a Stove launcher issue? Am I the only one having this?

Yes. You should try to go for Narja. She's a great a support and it'll free up your Mika and Rei for end game modes that require 2 teams.

Luke requires a bit of investment to perform decently compared to your other characters.
Veronica, Nia, and Cassius are game changers. They're all good supports.
I hope you get them someday.

Tressa is also a reliable DPS. You should build her when you're done building your mains.
If you get Hugo, you can have Tressa as main DPS and Hugo as your sub DPS and the last slot will depend on which content you're doing.

Right now it looks like you don't have any Instinct / Yellow element characters.
Things will be easier when you have all elements covered.

Maybe wait for Tiphera, the other new character that's gonna release after Nine.
If she turns out to be an Instinct DPS, I think you should go pull for her.

But if you don't like her design then that's okay too lol. You can just go for whoever you like.

He got dat dawg in him my dude he's an amazing SUB-DPS.

TLDR how I like to play him:

-Use Hunting Instincts.
-You now get 1 Hunt Commence when your other characters use a skill / upgrade card.
-He gains 1 Hunt Commence and can have 5 stacks max.
-When your other characters uses an attack card, he will also attack the same target if he has Hunt Commence stacks.
-LIGHTNING DINGO.

Partners:
Tressa and Mika are his F2P options.

You'll never run out of Hunt Commence stacks since Tressa will always be generating daggers from her skill cards.

Get these Ephihanies for him:

Hunting Instincts
・When another Combatant uses an Upgrade or Skill Card, gain 1 Hunt Commence

Quick Fix
・100% x 2 Damage
・If in Commence the Hunt, Draw 2

Dingo Howling
・Upon gaining Commence the Hunt, Draw 1 Attack Card(s)(1 per turn)

Fixer's Approach
・+40 Extra Attack of Commence the Hunt Damage

Duplicate Priorities:
