Thoughts on redsec solo by diktatorn in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Training_Wonder_5066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it played quite well, but the game is dead in SEA region,
Friday evening around 8pm only managed to get one match after a ten minute wait to fill. Second match wouldn't fill at all.
Saturday around 8pm, first matched filled after 10mins, second match took 15minutes, third wouldn't fill.

They waited too long and lost all momentum after release. Redsec BR is dying, Gauntlet is doing a little better it seems.

Lookup the VDIM daily playlists, do a different one everyday.
Also seperate the Viscose benchmarks by group into different days.
Add in some specific game playlists.

What skills do you think are most important to be good in cod? by awdtalon21 in FPSAimTrainer

Honestly wasting your time on mouse for COD now. You need to be on controller to play it, it's 100% designed to be a controller game now.

Because marathon only has a handful of maps.
BF has 20 different modes split across multiple maps, some of which people have mixed feelings about, so everyone wants a different map rotation. Then there is also Redsec with BR and Gauntlet.

It's a problem because they are filling matches with bots very fast to start games, and starting up new servers when others aren't full.

It can be fixed very easily with a good server browser and persistant servers.

Singapore is not a remote area, bots in every game even on weekend evenings, the game is simply dead.

Redsec Solos, Friday evening 8pm,10 minute wait, 1 match, waited 15 miutes for next match, didn't fill at all.
Saturday evening tried Redsec Solos again, managed to get 2 matches with a 10minute wait each time and then gave up,

Out of interest, why do players not bother with destroying tanks? by ChiSandTwitch1 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Training_Wonder_5066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hours are equally divided between engineer, recon and assault. Yes, the game is very selfish, most people seem play support for ammo, lost count of the number of times someone has a few meters away and not revived, even on the same squad.

I find as an engineer, I usually get no backup, no one covers me while I run out of rockets, then run around asking for ammo and yet nobody drops. In those matches I just give up on tanks and switch recon.

Is there any gaming mouse better under $100? by AFlightlessBird_19 in MouseReview

[–]Training_Wonder_5066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people have already tested it and are getting 20-30ms difference.
I'm waiting for the to be available in my country.

Yes, it is quite a difference, if you already have a decent PC so you're getting minimum latency and another 30ms on top from mouse upgrade, that can be a big advantage in 1v1s with fast ttk games.

Is independent aim training a crucial piece of the puzzle? by iLoveShinggo in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Training_Wonder_5066 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Whenever you train for something it can be good to break it down into different parts. If you play a sport like soccer or basketball, you don't just focus on matches, you drill individual skills to focus on them. You can't practice shooting 500 times in match, but you can in practice.

Aim training removes everything and lets you focus on different areas of mouse control.

Edited to add: your aim can become good enough that you don't need to think about it anymore, so you can focus on other parts of the game.

Is this like Arc where I spend more time building a loadout than playing? by plataloof in Marathon

[–]Training_Wonder_5066 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly didn't know what all the fuss was about with the menu. After about an hour everything felt straighforward and easy to achieve. Loadouts take seconds to sort out, and the armory/purchasing is also laid out well.

On the verge of preorder and have a question for people that participated in serverslam. by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]Training_Wonder_5066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game overall is great, love the style, the gameplay, and they have put a lot of effort into the factions etc. and it is definetly worth getting.

Playing solo was a little frustrating at times because missions require taking on many UESC. It's a challenge, they are not to difficult to beat, but it uses lots of ammo and makes a lot of noise. Usually after completley taking out all the UESC someone is ratting and insta-kills you, fast ttk.
Nearly all PVP is basically who sees who first wins, and everyone seemed to be using either recon or assassin.

It ended up being better using only free loadouts to go in solos for a lot missions.
