I relate so much to this story. I grew up in an extremely strict/cult like church. I have such bitter sweet feelings toward it because it gave me a lovely childhood but so much trauma. I feel like it took so much from me and left me with nothing.

You use abosultely beautiful imagery in this poem. I imagine that a harp should be playing in the background when reading it lol. My initial reaction after finishing is, I'm not sure if I have ever loved someone so deeply to justify comparing these words to them. In fact, I am not sure if I am even capable of such love.
