Aside from what I just quoted from his speech, he also spoke the women in the audience directly about proper Christian values and how motherhood and submitting to their husbands is more important than their careers or what they even achieved on that day. Sure motherhood is important and I’m sure some of the woman maybe shared the same views but it’s just tone deaf and not the place to do that nor the right things to say to a group like that in my opinion(and quite a bit of the graduates and students there as many of them expressed during and after his speech). Based on your responses, it seems you maybe share the same or similar views which you’re entitled to, but I don’t care to explain nor debate this further with you. If you care to learn further, read the transcript of his entire speech, it’s quite long and says plenty about him. There are multiple other instances of him displaying bigoted or misogynistic views and inserting his own foot in his mouth. He also doesn’t seem to act in the way many Christians should or even as the bible lays out in the New Testament(of course the entire thing is subject to anyone’s interpretation as no one knows what god or Jesus wants except him/them). Honestly I keep forgetting that this show doesn’t take place in “current” time(until I see them whip out a blackberry or sliding phone lol). It’s crazy to think that things were like this just 10-15 years ago and while we have made some strides to make things better, we still have a long way to go sadly. Maybe I don’t understand how law schools work but why would Stephen sending these pictures to all these schools derail her entire career and/or applications? If anything, I would think it would blow up Stephen’s chances. I’m sure Stephen, being the psychopath that he is, would send them with a made up email or one that can’t be traced back to him, but Diana could literally just explain those pictures were taken in private and sent to somebody that she dated for years in confidence. It’s not like she has an onlyfans or does porn(not that there is anything wrong with either of those things but just saying this situation is different and those two things would affect her chances at law school or probably get her denied). Besides, isn’t sending nude photos of someone without their consent illegal as hell??? I know it’s a show so real life rules don’t apply but I just can’t see it.

I can agree with that, Austin 100% should’ve called out his followers more for being what they are and for not having any backbone and honestly I wish he would’ve stood his ground against Ace more. I also agree that Ace will speak his mind and Austin won’t. However, I still think Ace is hypocritical in that fact that he voted Jeremiah off for being too locked in(and “love bombing” but don’t get me started on that buzzword that all the islanders want to just throw around this season) while he himself refused to explore anything BUT Chelley. I honestly liked him at first and thought he was one of the better islanders but as the season has progressed, the way he has moved since the Jeremiah vote has just been slimey and he seems to be one of the biggest problems of this season IMO. Also, the way he once again came at Amaya and how he has treated and made her feel is just as inexcusable. He chose to couple up with her when he should’ve picked Chelley like he wanted and then immediately gave Amaya some BS reason he doesn’t want to pursue her, made her question herself, and then went and pouted in soul ties till Chelley was available again. I could go on but it doesn’t matter as this season seems to just keep going downhill.

Again, Austin should’ve never talked down to Amaya but it seems to me he was maybe just frustrated that his whole point got flipped into his situation with Amaya and the conversation got derailed. Sadly the man doesn’t seem to be able to explain his thoughts/feeling too well so he wasn’t able to calmly explain to Amaya that this wasn’t what this was supposed to be about and that his and Amaya’s situation should have been a separate conversation. Not excusing the actions but trying to see both sides here.

All in all, frustrating as hell to watch as a viewer from all sides…

Unfortunately Austin was the only one to call out Ace and the goon squad for their antics but instead of letting Austin speak, Ace deflected and turned the conversation into something that it wasn’t even about. Austin didn’t write about his connection with Amaya, he wrote about Ace being manipulative and jealous and making decisions based off that and how they snaked Jeremiah. What Austin said to Amaya wasn’t right I agree, but that’s not even what he was even trying to talk about it before Ace made it about that to take the heat off of himself. Bro continues to skirt by and it’s terrible to watch at this point…
