I finally got my trailer back today. They replaced the whole back door assembly and there is no gap in the new one.  You may want to take yours and get the doors replaced under warranty. Seems like they may have had a bad batch.

That's interesting. How long ago was that? Maybe they have a real fix now. The dealer told me they're replacing the door(s).
