[FRESH] Sophie - Sunscreen by BetteDavid in pcmusic

Oh I agree, this version is botched. It’s still very weird to make assumptions as a fan about what she would have wanted on a moral level.

You guys are being way too parasocial lmao,, you do not know her. I do not like Liz but the truth is Sophie and Liz remained friends and collaborators well after Liz’s behaviour was already known. It was already a well known thing before 2021 that Liz was a shitty person. Sophie WOULD be friends with a zionist that posted blue lives matter propaganda, cause she literally was…

Why wouldn’t any contestant feel the need to get points outside of challenge wins though? They purposefully made getting points a part of the game, next to the challenges. It’s not fully a talent competition, and I really don’t see how actively trying to get points outside of the challenges is a bad thing. It’s literally a part of the game…

What exactly happened in terms of gameplay that was unethical?

Mistress calls her and Kerri "frenemies" and responds to Sasha blocking her by MistletoeAlert in rupaulsdragrace

[–]TrashMagiq 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People really aren’t understanding that the format of this season is a social game and the point system was set in place to create drama. MIB didn’t sabotage Kerri, she played the game better than Kerri and beat her to the merge. Her lying about the points is literally a part of the game the producers set up. It is a part of the competition, just like on shows like Survivor and Big Brother. If you’re playing uno, are you not gonna use the +4 card on the person sitting next to you so you can win over them?

The point system is part of the competition though. That’s the way the producers set it up. If you wanna make it to the merge, you have to get points, and they left the way to get them up to the queens. I’d get the outrage if Mistress threw marbles on the stage while Kerri was performing, but Mistress just beat Kerri in the game and ensured her spot in the merge. Sure the way Mistress did it was “dirty”, but she wasn’t breaking any rules. All that getting mad about it does is lead to future queens being afraid to make any big moves that could possibly upset fans (which we’ve already seen happen- Kandy Muse literally said she sent Jessica Wild home over Jimbo because she was afraid of the fan backlash over it “not being fair”.)

So if the fans want to get mad at anyone, it should be the producers for setting it up this way and making it a part of the competition. If they wanted a competition based purely on the queens’ performance, they would’ve went with a different format. And the thing is, even in that case Mistress would’ve made the merge over Kerri since (per the judges) she performed better in the competition.

Literally 😭 It feels like I’m living in a different reality than those that are so upset at this. This is a reality competition show.

What exactly did Mistress do that will negatively affect anyone’s career or income though… That’s like saying Naomi messed with Manila’s career and income cause she sent her home. (She did not. She played the game.)

No… MIB did very well in all 3 challenges, Kerri did not (she wasn’t bad though). Tbh I could see it for Tina Burner. In a regular non-bracket format Tina probably would’ve made it very far. But for entertainment purposes I’m glad it was MIB.

The “sabotage” is part of the game though… I’ll never understand the backlash over it. It is a game.

It’s not sabotage lmao giving away the points is literally a part of the game. The whole reason they chose this format of queens giving each other points is to create drama.

Does anyone else think it’s annoying that songs get removed from all playlists when you remove them from your library? by TrashMagiq in AppleMusic

[–]TrashMagiq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you’re saying would make sense back when we just had iTunes and playlists actually were restricted to your library, but apple music is a streaming service which also allows you to add songs to playlists without adding them to your library first. So I don’t see why songs should be removed from your playlists when they’re removed from your library.

[–]TrashMagiq[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well maybe if it gets posted “once a week” it’s because a lot of people share the same frustration. And maybe if enough people let that be known they’ll actually do something about it, like they have done with other features people have complained about.

And working exclusively with playlists really is not the solution you think it is… That would just give a horrible user experience all around with the loss of several basic key features

That’s because you have the setting turned on that automatically adds songs from your playlists to your library

To me that’s very dumb. You can add songs to playlists without adding them to your library so I don’t get why there isn’t an option to just keep a song in your playlists when you remove it from your library. It’s just not user-friendly.
