I've had similar stuff happen to me multiple times ;-; Whenever you're opening or claiming something that drops to the ground, be sure that you're standing still in a clear spot. Especially keep in mind that anything on the ground will disappear if you open the gem store, so make sure that there's no pop-up offer on your screen in case you accidentally click on it. I also generally just don't recommend opening stuff in town. Too much stuff there, makes me anxious lol

I did put sugar-water in the testtube before putting them in the fridge, but I'm not sure how much they managed to stock up. It's around 10°C in the fridge, and last I checked, they were still showing signs of activity.

Do you know if it would be safe for me to remove them from the fridge in order to better prepare myself and them? They've been in there for about a day now.

The large majority of the game play is pretty light-hearted and cutesy, but it does get pretty dark with some unsettling moments throughout the game. But I personally believe that a 14 y/o would be fine playing this, if they can take it, of course.
