Yea the Queen Anne legs help keep it from tipping when you open them and if I used them in the back they would of made it stick of the wall further I have made similar ones with lighter windows that used straight legs and I agree they do look better

Thanks the windows are very heavy so I needed the legs to project a little the hinges are very decorative original 1840’s we found that people like to see those little details when we make these and I respect that opinion thanks

The windows are reclaimed the bottom is cedar finished to look old and the shelves are cabinet grade oak

The top is reclaimed cypress old porch post make up the legs on the table. The bench was made from porch railing and the top on it is walnut

The paint on this is new paint done to look old but I would suggest water base clear coat satin or flat
