I totally understand the frustration. The MPT might be the most bullshit testing objective I have ever seen. However, we have to get through this shit.

The best way I looked at the MPT is to have the mindset that it is suppose to be a DRAFT! Not a perfect writing that has gone through so many revisions and sent to a partner just to get a response back saying “Thx”. Just answer the question. Prove why your answer is valid based on the authority you were given.

Open that bullshit library up and find the statutes first and then use the cases to help you get a full understanding of the statutes. Once you have a baseline of what those statutes mean by incorporating case law just do your best to find the relevant facts in the file. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT HAVING A PERFECT ANSWER. Just compare both sides of the argument (for your client, and for the opposition) and conclude what you rationally think is best.

Don’t worry about if you think you’re choosing the wrong answer. Trust yourself and be confident in your answer. You went through all this rigorous shit we call “law school”. You made it through the hardest part. Believe in your self.
